Clowney had as much hype I ever seen for a defensive player coming out the draft, most of it was deserved. Haven’t payed too much attention to his NFL career, has he been that much of a disappointment?

He is an elite run defender but not a great pass rusher. When you are a top talent I think the expectation is that you are going to be a really good pass rusher but he hasn't even been a double digit sack pass rusher

With Fitz & Tua on the Dolphins.

Where does anyone think Rosen gets shipped off too?
or does the Dolphins keep all three?

Think when Rosen lost his job, on a dolphins team. His value tanked
No doubt.
but he is on a guaranteed Rookie contract. So if they just cut him that will cost them 5 mil.
if the trade him for a pack of bubble gum his cap hit is only 2 mil. (this year) for whatever team he is on.
So I see them either shipping him off or keeping him. (not cutting him)
Although they do have enough cap space where I guess it wont make a difference.

I mean if you can't beat Fitzpatrick or start on the worst team in the league...I really don't think there is a place for you in the league unless someone picks him up to be a guy that can compete for a backup QB option or 3rd string

Probably will just keep him as a 3rd string option then in case of injuries

it almost seems inevitable he goes to NE.

I don't see Rosen being moved could be wrong but for the cost why not keep him around? Hopefully he improves and competes with Tua down the road worst case he's a cheap backup. Tua may not even play next year so they may need him anyway. It's not like Fitz will be around forever either and who knows maybe the light goes on for Rosen sooner rather than later and he competes with him...would love to see that. The oline does have a lot of new faces better talent but will most likely take some time to gel so that's a bit of a wildcard next season. With some vet RB's in the mix now the situation is far better than last year's weekly roster turnover but still this team is a huge ? for next season. Rosen is part of that equation.

Wonder if their target was Mayfield or another QB, maybe Darnold.
Hard to say...and I rarely buy baseless rumors. Never mind one from Chris Simms.

Though pretty sure his height would not stop Seattle from taking Baker.

dang thought jimmy g was a tough name:suds:

Browns hired Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, formerly of the 49ers, as Vice President of Football Operations.
A Princeton alumnus who received his masters degree from Stanford, it's unsurprising Adofo-Mensah landed under GM Andrew Berry and the rest of Cleveland's Ivy League-laden front office. Adofo-Mensah previously worked as the Director of Football Research in San Francisco but will essentially take on duties as the Browns' assistant GM. It remains unclear what title former Colts GM Ryan Grigson, hired prior to April's draft, will have in the interim.
