Wouldn’t it just be smart to play 81 games starting in July. Cut out interleague play and make non division games some played at home and others played away?

Or you could just cut to everyone’s 81st game and play it out as it was supposed to. But they may cause horribly uneven schedule strength.

They need to just realize 162 games isnt realistic. Yes you will lose money but kinda have to accept the situation we are living in. Baseball already gets owned by the NFL when people are watching two 1-5 teams play on MNF over a playoff baseball game. No need to have it further compete with the NFL season and have players get less rest for the following year.
