He can definitely tackle as he tackled very well his first two seasons. However, one reason why people really soured on him this season is because he didn’t put as much effort into tackling. Almost like he didn’t want to get hurt or something heading into the draft this year. But it’s crazy how much his tackling willingness went down in one year. Just need to revert back to his freshman and sophomore year in terms of willing to tackleBut he can definitely tackle. I love his length as well

For the record Niners getting that 13th spot hurts. They really need wide receiver help. I was hoping they would get it in free agency because they do have quite a few young wide receivers on that roster. But theyvwould be primes to draft a guy like Lamb or Jeudy there. Dante Pettis is looking well on his way to being a bust (overdrafted) Jalen Hurd who knows he has injury issues. Manny left via FA. Deebo Samuel looks like a dependable weapon at least.

Yea, I thought that when they moved into 13. Let’s hope they do move down to recoup some picks they need.

They also have pick 31 where there maybe some other WRs.

If a top WR is there at 15 take him, if not take the best CB available.

The NFL is the only winner in this whole sorid nightmare of viral turbulence. Nobody has anything else to do, but focus on their football teams off season and player movement. I predict the interest in pro football will escalate from this. I would be immensely stupid to postpone the draft - which can be done electronically.

To all my favorite draft gurus:

There are no personal visits for player workouts - no tryout camps to kids to show their stuff - some people got their pro days cancelled - how do this affect the draft? Who does it favor? Who does it hurt?

Could it be that the Broncos are a little ahead of the draft scouting curve - when they left their asst coaches back in Denver to scout through tape - while a small contingent went to the combine?

I would actually say it puts the Broncos a little behind. Didn't have as many bodies to interview players that were not official interviews. Where now because of all this all teams can do is sit and watch tape.

As for the draft it maybe does mean teams are a little more hesitant to take a player with red flags because they have not had the chance to meet them face to face and ask them about the issue. It also could matter when it comes to injured players. So like a Tua or a Tyler Biadasz who just had surgery not too long ago. Might see some of those guys drop as they have not been rechecked since the combine to see how the healing process is coming along.

This probably also helps favor now the guys who went to the Senior Bowl. Have a much better idea of their all around look because of getting to meet with coaches in interviews, more tape, and have now been checked twice by medical staffs.

Also having a new OC will put Denver behind as no one can practice. The OTAs are where the new playbook is introduced and worked on.

I think this will help all players that get drafted because they will get some to rest. I think that is probably the biggest reason why there is a "rookie wall" is they play their college season, and then jump right into training to be stronger and faster for the scouts. Now they get some time to rest a bit and let their bodies be ready to go come training camp.

For the most part I don't know that the individual workouts or pro days are a big deal other then learning the personality of the players. I think most of the rankings are done already between the combine and tape.

The guys that didn't get invited to the combine will be hurt some.

Hey, Pump, how are you doing? Staying safe in all the craziness?

All's well in DC. Found myself in skiing in CO at the onset of the outbreak. Sheltering in place ever since. Crazy times! How are you George? Your daughter still doctoring in the high country?

Healthy thoughts to all you SportsHoopla-ians!

I may be the only one but I would rather see a defensive player selected at 15 then go offense , offense , offense and a little defense. Not a fan of WRs high. Based on Shurmur history the #2 WR doesn't catch that much. Gordon will get 90 targets and 70 catches.

The Vikes in 2017 had 2 WRs but going back to 2009 with the Rams , only average production from the #2 WR in his offenses. I don't count the Philly years as that was all Chip Kelly. Another question. Why trade OBJ and go with 2nd tier guys ? Was OBJ that much of a malcontent?

Murray, Queen , CJ Henderson, Brown, Kindlaw. Even a pass rusher not knowing what 2021 looks like for Von though he seems like a life time Broncos. Won a Super Bowl so any salary he gets is OK with me even if his production drops.

We need to start adding some speed to our offense. We do need to add depth at CB, DE, and MLB. I think we need to add 2 WRs, a center, and depth across the Oline.

I trust Fangio to find the defenders that he likes.

More than anything the Broncos need a WR coach who can teach WRs to keep their routes alive and to run to openings because the Broncos have a QB who can escape and throw the football on the run a long ways. In recent years - the Bronco receivers would only have to run 3 second routes - because their QB was either sacked or threw the ball out of bounds.
