I think i heard in Spokanistan they are doing the radio broadcasts in place of the normal sports talk radio. might have heard that wrong though.

That would be pretty cool.

Any underrated or overlooked classics you'd like to see?

Never got to see Cameron's 4 HR game, just remember seeing the box score from vacation in CA.

Also Joel Pinero's duel with Roger Clemmons. I was at that game but would love to watch the broadcast.

Just now watching the 2001 Opener a few things go through my head:

1- No Ichi-meter
2- No pitches thrown stat showing every 5 seconds
3- Young people in stands now old, old people in stands now dead
4- Ichi 0 for first 2...what a bum.
5- We won 116 games with Al Martin in the opening day lineup

Check that: 0 for first 3...an even bigger bum.

And who the heck was Anthony Sanders? I thought I remembered them all, but didn't recall him when he came in for defense in the 9th. Fun watch.

Just seeing a full stadium feels like a completely different thing. I miss baseball from 20 years ago. Not just because the Mariners were relevant but it was just much a better atmosphere

If it wasn't for one game the M's blew in the summer they could have had 117.

Don't make me think about that fucking game!

I was on vacation watching that game when the M's were way up, went to the bar and watched the horror unfold and my bar tab go way up.

Not to be a dick, but had 9/11 not happened the Mariners would’ve won 120. 9/11 screwed that old ass team more than people give credit.

Absolutely remembered this one and it was against the Indians. One of the games that season I remembered very well, up huge early and ended up blowing it last 2/3 of the game. Ugh.

True. It did stop momentum.

Yep. Something like 10 or 11 run lead early and just evaporated.

I dont disagree but I would say the bigger impact in creating momentum for New York and the Yankees.

Still, if Rhodes did his job both years the coulda won both pennants. Guy just choked big time in Yankee stadium
