Food for thought

near the end of Peyton Manning’s career ,the colts had a choice to make keep an aging qb or draft another . They drafted Luck . Luck never led the colts to the Super Bowl while Peyton showed up in 2 more winning one

the pats had the choice of going with Brady or garrapolo , the went with Brady and went to the super bowl and won it

for those saying it’s business as usual or RK can’t play anymore because he reached a certain age I wonder how you think he would garner a hurst or a 2 Nd round pick ?

if he is restructured or he plays out his contract , I don’t see any huge loss , same with TW

Name a FA LT who gives us equal or better play the TW ? If you can’t then why move on ?

Especially when we have people advocating moving on from sherf . This weakens the o/ line

the point is yes you can move on from the avg player once they hit 30 but upper level guys are a different story

I always say this - if you want an owner to keep hands out of cookie jar, you have to give him a nibble or a bite from time to time.

You can't expect an owner, any owner, to 100% stay out of it.

You can’t compare QBs to DE/OLBs and LTs.

As for RK, where does he fit? He will cost nearly 14 mil against the cap this season; however, we save more than 10 mil in cap space if he is cut or traded. You can find another RK for that 10 mil in savings, especially if we draft Young.

Who knows what you will get from TW, who willingly sat out a full healthy season because he wanted even more money? TW counts 14.5 agains the cap this season; however, if we cut or trade him, we save 12.5 million. I would say Kelvin Beachum plus 12.5 mil would be worth more than TW.

Ryan Kerrigan has never counted $14 million against the cap. Close year with just a couple hundred thousand under. This year is his final year and it is $11,687,500 …. NOT $14 million.

I think they need to trade him or cut him. We need the cap room and he took a huge step back last year.

I do stand corrected. I was thinking it is still 2019. However, if we cut him, we save the full near 12 mil in cap space, which is even better for my argument.

Kerrigan can still play and play well, his age isn't the issue at this point, value is!! His value to the team in trade verse is as high as it's going to get. I've been an advocate of trading him dating back two years now because with each passing year he gets one year older. That's where age comes into play.

If this team chooses to keep him on a restructured deal, his trade value plummets
I think they need to trade him or cut him. We need the cap room and he took a huge step back last year.

My fear is that it might be too late in his career to trade for good value in return.
