some of my favorites:

The "back to Earth" episodes tended to be some of the best of the various Star Trek series. My favorite would have to be STNG - Time's Arrow. My only (minor) complaint is when I investigated some of the dates/events shown in the episode in detail, the authors apparently took some historical liberties to embellish the story a bit. In that episode, Jerry Hardin plays Mark Twain.

Coincidentally, Hardin is also in my favorite WKRP episode, Fish Story. He plays a trooper who gives a demonstration to Fever and Venus, where he's going to show them how having even one drink slows your reaction time. By the end of the episode Fever and Venus are plastered ROTFL, because Johnny's reaction time keeps getting quicker with every drink. The other "event" in that episode is Les getting in a fight in a bathroom with the WPIG mascot. Another interesting coincidence - the actor who played the WPIG mascot also played Abe Lincoln in the classic Star Trek TOS episode Savage Curtain.

Andy Griffith: 'Three Wishes For Opie'.
Seinfeld: Battleyon beat me to it. Soup Nazi runner-up.
I saw someone's avi the other day, and it reminded me of
Sanford And Son: the one where Grady was growing "wild parsley" in the backyard.

Original Star Trek - The Trouble With Tribbles.
Next Generation - The one where the Enterprise gets destroyed ever 15 minutes but after the commercial a new timeline begins and they have to figure out the solution. Each segment starts with the officers playing cards, but each time the cards are different.

I haven't been able to make it through the original Star Trek. The pilot is so much better than the next few episodes with Kirk that its kinda sad. I doubt the Cage is the best episode but I wouldn't be shocked if it was way better than the average episode.

Everyone gushed over The Americans' series finale but I liked "The Magic of David Copperfield V: The Statue of Liberty Disappears".

Have you ever been scared to death of "mom" for just a second? Paige and Philip can relate

X Files - Season 4?? Home.

The inbred brothers in an old Cadillac with their sister mother under the bed??

The other one was the one with the leach guy, who hid in outhouses, could go through piping, etc. Came from some freighter??

Both episodes were creepy as fuck.

That episode is "Cause and Effect". STNG had several very good "time loop" themed episodes. My favorite of those is "Time Squared", where they discover a "copy" of one of their shuttlecrafts with another Picard aboard.

"The Menagerie, a two-parter built around "The Cage", is arguably one of the best TOS.

Star Trek : Where No Man Has Gone Before
Star Trek Next Generation: Best of Both Worlds I & II
Star Trek Voyager: Equinox Parts I & 2
STNG and Voyager both had some very good two part episodes that extended over the season break.
In addition to Equinox, Voyager had Year of Hell, featuring Kurtwood Smith, The Killing Game, which had a Nazi theme, and one of my favorite Voyager episodes, Future's End, featuring Ed Begley Jr, set in present day Los Angeles.

Those are both really good too. it took me a while to warm up to Voyager but I like the series and Mulgrew as captain. The addition of 7 of 9 didnt hurt either.
