Going to be one of the more interesting rookie QB's we've seen given the circumstances in a while. Assuming he goes to the Bengals, he could have Boyd and Green to throw to.

Expectations will be too high like they always are for these kids when they go #1 to a shitty franchise. Having said that, Cinci has some pieces on offense so he could be relatively successful providing the team is healthy. Oline and A.J.Green healthy and the kid will be in good shape.

Well it's the Bengals so I expect they will get rid of Green, play Burrow expect him to win the division, devise game plans that suck and get him hurt by week six.

I have the first pick in my keeper dynasty and I’m leaning toward taking him (my QBs are Stafford and Baker).

He's been in school for 5 years, unlike most of these guys who come out after 3. He SHOULD have a stronger foundation to be successful quicker

Bengals already stated Green will be back. That's why they didn't bother letting him come back late in the season so he could be completely healthy for training camp. I think they know that QB is the position most in need of an upgrade. The Oline is a huge priority too though. Expect to get their first rounder from last year back and hopefully get it solid and the offense will be okay. They will need it. The defense is not good.

Well for obvious reasons it annoys me that the Bengals have the opportunity to grab a really good QB prospect this year. If they continue the recent trend of rebuilding the O-line then he should be in great shape his rookie season. I don't think they need AJ Green, but his presence would only benefit a rookie behind center. When healthy, Tyler Boyd & John Ross are a great duo at WR. If they ship AJ Green then they better bolster that group with a vet via FA or grab one in the draft.

I'm gonna miss Andy Dalton. Steelers fans loved that guy because he fooled that franchise for 8+ years into believing that he was anything more than just an average QB. He was just good enough to keep them believing that they were tied to him and that they just needed to keep putting more playmakers around him. That team was riddled with talent over the last decade, and Andy pissed away a LOT of opportunities to establish himself as a good QB. When the lights were on he almost always failed to show up.

Bengals fans should have a lot more faith in Joe Burrow to buck that trend. Kid looks like a baller.

If we had a rich man's Dalton, we would have at minimum made it to the AFC championship game at least once. So, if true, I'd take it

I think he is going to be a very good NFL QB and I take him above Adams if I am Cincy

Yep... And if that's considered his "floor" for a kid that hasn't even taken a snap in the NFL... Sheeeeeiiiit

That defense might mean they need to open things up for him more often than not too. That can go either way for a rookie QB. Either he has a big year or a bunch of turnovers. In a tough division too.

It is a very tough division. Baltimore is fantastic now, Pittsburgh is always freaking good it seems (and if they are not, they just need a season to recover), and Cleveland is definitely improving and have the talent to be very good. Cincinnati is still the weak link, but I think they have pieces to build around. Problem is, we just waited to long to where our best players are starting to see age kick in, Green, Atkins, Dunlap, etc.

I do thank Pittsburgh for releasing Fred Johnson though, he could be our future RT.

I don't see the Dalton comparisons at all.

He looks to me like a similar prospect to Daniel Jones and I expect him to have a similar rookie season on a losing Bengals squad.

Of course, this is the Bengals. We could just as easily trade Dalton, pick up someone like Jermeis Winston from Tampa, or Josh McCown. Then trade the number one spot for a bunch of other picks and mediocre players!
