I’d say Payton. I think he’s done about the same as tomlin with less. The steelers always have great receivers and quality defenses.

Mike Tomlin is a man. Sean Payton is a strange little individual with a funny mouth.

Yep saints never have talent . So tomlin drafts and develops better is what you're saying/ since Steelers rarely dip in FA.

Speaking of more with less.

While it ended sour losing 3 in a row, but Tomlin squeezed out another .500 season with two 1st yr starters manning the QB position for most of the games...no losing seasons. Payton has had 4 losing seasons including 3 in a row.

That said...if the team was built to win now...I might take Payton...although he's recently slipped in my mind as a play caller and the whining and bitching has turned me off him entirely.

I don't know whose coach we're discussing, but I know who's not good at English.

Sir, could you re-explain your an rankings? Or tell me again how drew lock is on mahomes level?

Some things are intentional. Being irrational is not.

Is Tomlin the GM?
oh , only GM's have a role in bringing in players, and developing them. Especially with long tenured coaches. Got it. By your notion then. Pace is completely at fault for the bears season, not nagy.

Similar. Both have warts. Good coaches but not great. Not really any distinction between the 2 other than Tomlin has never had a losing season.

The hard part about this comparison is the nature of the last 3 Saints playoff losses. The Saints were in the game on all three games. Brees had one of his worst games in his career this year and Zimmer threw out a scheme that gave the Saints oline fits. Then there was the bad call with the Rams from last year where the Rams eventually just outlasted them. The Minnesota Miracle is on Sean Payton, though, and I think that matters. Still, if the ball bounces in a slightly different way, Payton's record in the playoffs is quite a bit better and I'm not sure thats the case with Tomlin.

Gotta give Tomlin credit for this year's Steelers team, though. They had no business winning more than 5 games. That said, the Steelers also lost their locker room recently and I'm not sure who that it is on.

These guys are both good. I think I'd rather have Tomlin but not by much.

I went with Payton, close though. Both are top 5 coaches in the NFL right now.

I'd take Tomlin

Too my knowledge he's never been involved with paying players to intentionally injure other players
At least he was paying them for their effort.
