I did say it. If Ohio State intentionally waited to report this (which I was not suggesting) then at the beginning of the season when the first five games were Florida Atlantic, Cinci, Indiana, Miami (Oh), and Nebraska seems like a better time than the end of the season of Maryland, Rutgers, #4 Penn State, and #14 Michigan. You want to be playing your best football at the end of the season when the selection committee is putting you under a microscope.
Don't mean to spoil a good rant, but cinci and Indiana are better than Maryland and Rutgers. If they are challenged in either game it wont be solely because CY didn't play.

Well shit this is bad new. What a dumbass. He should have known better.

Hopefully, he's back in a week. Dumbass should have known better.

That’s fan talk. What about Chase Young? You know, the guy that took the loan... what reason does he have to not take a loan and hope to not get caught for s stupid rule? He’s in his early 20s with an NFL future ahead. Why not take the loan for the reason he took it. He got caught, oh well. See you in the NFL.

The player isn’t the dumbass but the rule is dumbass.

That's the kicker...HOW did he pay back upwards of $5000 in a summer? He, like most elite football players, would have been in summer training with little time for a full time job.

They've confirmed the loan amount?

Is anyone of those five anywhere as good as Penn State and Michigan? You do realize I’m defending Ohio State, right?

There's been no reported number, just that his family is enormous. Unless there are photos of his family in the stands (I'm sure someone can cough that up), 2K is too little an amount for the trip.

So... like every other dude pretending to be a chick on the internets, you're just making shit up.

Got it.

So calling him dumbass for his stupid decision is nothing more than "fan talk"? Saying he should have known better isn't the same as saying he made a bad/stupid decision? He has whatever's coming to him.

No kidding. All Chase Young is out of is having to do more free labor. It was a rational decision by him and one I would've made myself for my family.

Sure did. I was at that game.

If Young would have faced those tackles for Maryland — they wouldn’t have been able to throw the ball. Or they would have had to roll out to the opposite side of him.

Their tackles were horrendous. UM tortured them for like 7 sacks and pressured him any time he dropped back and Young is on a different level than any of UM’s DE’s.

Ohio State is THE WORST at handling these situations

The SEC and Clemsons of the world have paved the way. Basically tell the NCAA to fuck off and dont admit anything.

and if he's out against PSU and UM I agree. Bad timing.
Again if (and I don’t believe they are) Ohio State sat on this information until now because Maryland and Rutgers are week and expecting any sort of consistency from the NCAA, then the entire coaching staff ought to be fired with cause for severe incompetence.

It wasn't a stupid decision. He's still gonna be a millionaire very soon. His family got to see him play. All he's given up for that is having to do more volunteer work. He should go on vacation until the draft and let an agent or advertiser pay for it.

...flying the clan across the nation and back for a football game is 'basic life expenses'?
