Hows everything looking for their team this year?

I'm at the Mavs opener against Arizona State so this should be pretty awesome. I figure we'll kick their ass but they are better than their location would indicate.

4-1 good guys. Michaelis with 2 goals (remember that name). He had a short handed goal early in the 3rd that broke it open and was a thing of beauty. ASU goalie was solid when we were shelling him in the 2nd but broke down late. I was a little worried through the first two periods the way he was playing but MSU just wore him down.

"beat" Western michigan to open the season. Good outcome, considering we were basically even in rankings.

Going to start paying closer attention to Bowling Green this season. Looks like that's where the boy is going.

Helps that he knows their goalie from Goalie camp two summers ago.

Thats a good program. Out of curiosity what are his offers?

Edit-nevernind I saw what his options are in the thread.

He's not a D1 player. But he hopes to play club D2 or 3.

Bowling Green is D1 and a really good offer. They are ranked 17th in the nation in both the coaches and media poll.

National Polls - College Hockey, Inc.

They damn near won the WCHA tourney last year and made the NCAA playoffs.

I don't know much about college hockey. I'm new to it but am lucky enough to be close to a team that is turning into a legitimate annual frozen four contender. So take this with a grain of salt, but your kid has a great opportunity here. IMO he has the equivalent to a Virginia Tech or Arizona football offer. Not a blue blood but a definitely solid D1 team. They have a really good HC so it's not outside the realm of possibility they get hot one year and he gets to experience a frozen four.

I mean he's not at the level where he would make a D1 team. They offer D2 and D3 club hockey and he will try out for those teams.
