Here is the 25 cent question. Lets say the entire coaching staff gets fired. Dan even fires Bruce.

Who is going to hire the new coach? Does Dan hire another Bruce/Vinny clone to aid him in finding the next coach? What responsible and good football coach is going to come here? I know a bunch of you are going to say O'Connell and maybe he will be good. Right now he is the OC of an 0-4 offense. They have way too many penalties, can't run the ball etc.

Is Dan going to decide who the new QB if they need one? Does he pick the next CB?

Who is going to change the culture? I can only think of one person that started to do that and he was fired after his first year. As much as I love and believe in Joe Gibbs I don't think he really changed the culture in his second stint. Marvin Lewis might have done it to some effect but he was gone after one year also.

This team has some players. They just can't get them to perform as a team. Sure they can use some players, what team can't? There is enough talent here to win 7-8 games and with some luck and good coaching maybe more.

I don't want to be Mr. Negative but I don't see things changing with Snyder as owner.

And there is the rub. The entire FO and coaching staff needs an overall. If Snyder were smart (which I don't really believe), he would hire a top notch GM and turn the keys over to him and step back. Let him hire the coaching staff and manage player personnel.

But, as you have pointed out, Dan most likely won't do that. He will hire someone that is willing to have Dan look over his shoulder and meddle. We all know the results will be.

Kevin Sheehan has been speculating all week that Dan will return to the only guy he truly respects and admires in Joe Gibbs. Sheehan went on to say that he feels Gibbs will suggest Todd Bowles, with maybe Louis Riddick in the front office. He alluded to Bowles taking the interview last year out of respect for Gibbs and nothing else.

I like Bowles, but my only concern is his demeanor. He seems real mild mannered and I'm not sure someone like that can affect cultural change.

I like Bowles too but I think we would be getting Gruden part II. Todd is a little too nice … or so it seems to me.

There is a reason the Patriots have been so good under BB and a reason the Steelers have been mostly good the last 40 years. They don't take any shit from players.

No to Bowles, unless he’s coaching the defense.

A fiery take-no-shit, benched-if-you-fuck-up head coach, please.

Norman would be gone. TW would be traded already.

The secondary would have figured out their bullshit.

Etc.

Unless you fire Allen it won’t matter . I like smith over riddick because smith is ready to be GM . I would look at DW as team president

Bowles is the defensive version of Gruden

We need someone who has expertise on either side of the ball but can oversee the entire operation

I like Doug personally. Good dude. Have met him several times. He and my late father knew each other. Came and spoke at my high school. That being said, I can't put him in charge. He has no chance of keeping Dan in check. Not sure if anyone can, but Dan and Bruce trotting him out there to face the Reuben Foster music along with telling him not.to answer his phone during the Alex Smith trade negotiations tells me how Dan views him.

There's one chance that Snyder gets it right. He hires a dedicated GM, sits him down and tell him... "I want to win Super-Bowls!, the new culture of this team is that they outwork every other team in the league and answer to you if they don't."

"Whoever you hire as head coach is your call, in fact every part of this rebuild is your responsibility. Bruce is gone and not allowed anywhere near my franchise, you're in charge, create a winning culture and a winning football team! I'm taking a long overdue vacation and will see you when the team is presented the Lombardi"

... and then we all woke up from our dream to the realization that winning SB's is not top priority of Mr. Snyders, or to the thought that he hands the franchise over to a football guy to make all football decisions while he sips on vodkas and lemonades in Tahiti.

The reality is just that,,,, he will never not interfere. 50 years from now when historians look back they will deem this period of football (1991 thru 2030) as the Redskins dark days. After Snyder sells team in 2029 the dark years will finally be lifted and a new generation of football will begin. Until then,,, enjoy mediocrity.

Abolish the team president position, use the K.I.S.S. method. Team owner>>> GM>>> and necessary ancillary personnel as needed. I never liked the group think BS because it's too easy to point at someone else for fault.

He doesn't need a SB win, he hauls out the three during the Gibbs and JKC era like he did something to help …. oh, he did … he was a fan.

Damn. Sitting here watching the cowboys when it dawned on me. Jason Garrett is going to be the next HC of the Redskins when Jerry finally lets him go. He is exactly what Dan wants in a HC.

I hear Snyder likes Tomlin.

You guys would make my year if Washington wants to trade for him.

Most of us want him cut by the end of the season, and have wanted him gone for years now. To get something in return for him would be amazing.

Any shock that Callahan was head coach when he and Allen were in Oakland?

I actually think Dan would dump Bruce for Tomlin.
