We may not know the severity of the injury but given the timing it very well could have been season-ending, or at least a lengthy one, and if that's the case he really didn't screw anyone over if he'd have been out anyway.

I highly doubt he just randomly woke up and decided on this.

So he only figured this out now? 2 weeks before opening day. My problem is not his decision but his timing.
If you read my first post, I agreed on the shitty timing. I also agree with the earlier post about the team kinda being prepared for this. I think the team and him were hopeful this latest setback was minor but when they realized there was going to have to be a bunch more rehab and stuff to deal with, it was just the last straw for him. Obviously a shitty deal for fans but losing ones shit over a game is worthless, imo. Too many far more important things in life to deal with. It's the kids life and his choice.

Chicago has 2 really bad neighborhoods making the stats look bad but as most intelligent people know 90% of the city is beautiful and low on crime. But I would never expect a inbred cow fucker like you to know that. Most of the world makes it to Chicago at least once in their life to see the most beautiful city anywhere. How many vacation in GB???
Why do so many Chicagoans vacation in Door County Wisconsin if Chicago is that great? The fact is Chicago has one of the highest crime rates in the country. I've been to your shithole city and wasn't impressed.

I guess Brett Favre doesn't count in this ridiculous scenario of yours.
Now dont you know it is rude to go using facts when someone is telling a story?

Brett Favre wasn't booed when he announced he was retiring. His number also was retired by the Packers.

Sounds like he was letting the team know he was gonna retire before going on a long rehab stint back in march.
They kept trying to figure things out saying things to the public dont know what is up with his injury.
but I think they were just doing due diligence on what it would or might take to fix whatever his injury is.
Once it became clear he would have to go into a long rehab they decided he would retire. The reason I say they, is because I am sure he was talking to them the whole time. So they knew what was coming. I dont believe he just dropped a bomb on them & said See ya!
just because the fans & the rest of us just found out, doesnt mean the Colts havent known it was coming long ago.
They do not act surprised at all.
They seem in unison.

That's not what I read. I read that he mentioned to Chris Ballard last Monday (8/19), or the Monday before, that he was thinking of hanging it up. There was no mention of anything happening in March.

You have an IQ the size of lint which is high for a Bears fan.
