Luck never really had the drive to be an NFL quarterback, anyway.

He never showed the intensity of Peyton Manning, the character of Drew Brees or the skills of Tom Brady.

The Indy fans are fortunate that he's gone and didn't stick them with a huge cap hit to spend half a season on IR every year. Even when healthy, he never lived up to the hype.

or the team either.

He kinda fucked the team over with the timing of his decision. I'd boo too if I were a Colts fan. The season starts in two weeks, and now they have a really good roster that won't have a really good QB to match it.

Timing? ... so his ankle should have sent him a memo in March that it would be hurt this month?

GB fans either Oh wait nevermind.
Packers fans are rated as one of the most faithful in the NFL and never would think of booing a retiring player. Now Bears fans are another story.

I don't agree but I understand. He put the team in a bad spot waiting until the last minute like this. We went through something similar here with Barry. Barry was already #2 all-time in RB carries at the time, though. Luck has several good years ahead of him if he wants them.

Sounds like he was letting the team know he was gonna retire before going on a long rehab stint back in march.
They kept trying to figure things out saying things to the public dont know what is up with his injury.
but I think they were just doing due diligence on what it would or might take to fix whatever his injury is.
Once it became clear he would have to go into a long rehab they decided he would retire. The reason I say they, is because I am sure he was talking to them the whole time. So they knew what was coming. I dont believe he just dropped a bomb on them & said See ya!
just because the fans & the rest of us just found out, doesnt mean the Colts havent known it was coming long ago.
They do not act surprised at all.
They seem in unison.

Green Bay isn't a crime infested shithole like Chicago but a low life like you probably likes living in those conditions.

If Luck has been dealing with constant pain then I understand his decision to retire. He owes nothing to Colts fans but a good performance. He can retire whenever he pleases.

He should be bood. WTF are you people talking about. He retired a week before the season started and screwed over his team and fans. If he did it before the draft and gave them time it would have been different. You don't pull this 1 week before the season starts.

Yup, I agree with this. We had our fantasy draft last night and one of the guys is a diehard Colts fan. Somebody said Luck is retiring and we all thought he was joking, but then we saw the ticker saying it was true. The Colts fan was seriously pissed about it. And he said pretty much what you did. By retiring the way he did, with less than 2 weeks before the season starts, he really put his team in a tough situation.

So I totally understand how the Indy fans would be feeling about this. They were pegged to be a contender this year for a SB run, and just like that Andrew Luck took it away. He's gotta do what he thinks is best for him and his family, but Daaaaaam, it was a harsh thing to do to his fans and his teammates.

If they cared so much, they should have drafted the dude an O-line.

Chicago has 2 really bad neighborhoods making the stats look bad but as most intelligent people know 90% of the city is beautiful and low on crime. But I would never expect a inbred cow fucker like you to know that. Most of the world makes it to Chicago at least once in their life to see the most beautiful city anywhere. How many vacation in GB???

Too little, too late.
Yeah, that was the problem. They let him get beat to hell and back before the new guys came in and corrected the thing. He explained it really well in his presser, I think. It's taken a toll to where he doesn't have the desire to play anymore. It's really that simple and I can respect that.

So he only figured this out now? 2 weeks before opening day. My problem is not his decision but his timing.

I think the Colts doctors finally figured it out. They were waiting on their decisions/findings

That's kind of pathetic.

Boo a man for not wanting to endure injury/rehab for another season? Regardless of the timing, some of you fuckers need to be isolated.
