Is the weather in Daytona this bad in late August?

Summer in the south, popup storms are always a strong possibility, but they've had actually systems going through this weekend.

Agreed.

This win would be huge for Justin Haley(who I think has a really bright future seeing what he does with mid tier teams in the truck and Busch series) and that tiny 77 team.

Any win can really make a tiny budget Cup team.

Biggest upset win of my lifetime. Rain shortened or not, he kept out of trouble when most of the field couldn't and his team made the right pit calls.

I've taken to watching the races with the sound off since NBC has taken over.

The FOX team is superior in their coverage and I can't take anymore from this lot.

I hate to be so mean to Dale Jr. and Jeff Burton but I can't listening to them.

I find neither their insights, nor their accents, illuminating.

I feel they miss even more things going on than DW did.

I do the same thing with F1. I can't stand Martin Brundle.

if you listen to team radioes you would realize just how much the announcers miss. Even when reporting. How often they are wrong.

I leave my TV sound on so I can hear about other things, but dont really hear them rambling on because I focus more on my cpu & listening to team radio.

A dying dog and pony show known as NASCAR just got a shot in the arm with this outta-nowhere, Coke Zero Winner Haley winning the rain-shortened race. That was great to see!!

Ward should replace Jeff, and Ricky Rudd should replace dale jr. The announcers would be entertaining at least

Ward is my favorite Burton brother and his southern accent is even creamier than his brothers but I can deal..

Are you looking forward to having Michael Waltrip in the FOX booth next year?


We were spoiled back in the 1980's and 1990's with Bob, Ned, and Benny calling the majority of the races. None of today's TV crews do a decent job.
