Simple question.

Should the Toronto Raptors' 2019 NBA title forever be following by an "*" in the minds of B-ball fans because of the injury situation of the Golden State Warriors?

Or not?

What says the Hoop!

Note - No extra options in the polling aside from the obligatory potato salad option. Take a stand, pussies.

While we are at it, give Golden State an asterisk for the injuries to the Cavs a few years ago.

And another asterisk for the injury to Kawhi when he was in San Antonio.

And asterisks to the Rockets when MJ was playing baseball.

And one to the Pistons when the Lakers were depleted with injuries.

Stupid question.

Be better than that.

Toronto did everything right in this series. Injuries played a factor, but this shouldn't diminish how good Toronto was this year.

Injury excuses are for pussies.

Right, no excuses. No team anywhere is immune to injury.

Sucks when it happens but doesn't change the record books.

No one's talking about changing the record books.

Any warriors fan who complains about injury is either a total idiot or has dementia because the warriors have benefitted from a key injury every year of their finals run.

^ I agree... Warriors fans aren't allowed to complain.

I'm complaining on their behalf. :D

And in the interests of Justice and Truth.

^ I don't disagree with any of this... Toronto is an innocent bystander here, it's not their fault a biblical run of injuries struck down their opponent.

LOL. Thanks for the sentiment, but no excuses. As bad as the injuries were, the Warriors had their chances. If only they had grabbed one more rebound or made one more shot, or If Draymond, Andre, and Cousins had shot just a little better than 5/14 on FTs, there would have been a good chance for a game 7. It was there for them. Credit Toronto for doing a better job with their opportunities.

Asterisk the Raptors for Embiid's injuries.

Or better yet let's just crown the Sixers.

Embiid eats too many cheeseburgers drinks too many milkshakes. I don't know if that "disease" qualifies as an injury.

I was rooting hard for Toronto, they have had great fan support and I hate the Warriors, specifically Durant. But I don't see how anyone can't see how these injuries played a huge role in the outcome. In a 4 point game I believe the guy who already hung up 30 would have made a difference and Kevin Durant is one of the top 3 players in the game. These injuries just don't compare to injuries to other past teams in the finals.

The Raptors have to be the worst championship team I have ever seen, and again I'm no hater I've been rooting for them for a few years now. Any team with Danny Green and Gasol in their starting lineup is hard to compare to past champions.

:D

KD and Thompson, though. C'mon, man.

Kyrie and Love were out. Lebron took them to 6 GAMES. He had TT, Delly and JR Smith as his best players

KD missed the series. Klay missed ONE QUARTER. Steph still had Cousins, Draymond and Iggy as his best players.

Life is so hard :L

Fine... put an "asterisk" there too.

Why not?

There are some situations that clearly seem to merit what we're talking about here.

They don't beat a healthy full Warriors team.

But that team was a result of artificially stacking the deck to a ridiculous extreme, so their championships deserve an * too. So, the * cancel each other out.
