They had the talent to get to the finals this year, but it was not meant to be. And you know I won't be shedding any tears that it didn't happen. Just below average team chemistry and continuity is what it is.

Honestly, I had wanted Philly to lose worse than I wanted the Nuggets to win heading into the day yesterday.

Obviously the excuse is going to be made that Embiid wasn't fully healthy, but well, oh fuck it...Embiid is an undisciplined jackass is what he is. But that's not the main reason I root against them at all costs (even though Embiid is a very big reason in himself). That, and the fact that some of their players (namely Embiid but also Simmons) conduct themselves as if they've already won five titles as a core.

However, the big reason to cheer against them is because everyone and their mothers think that the Philly model is the only legit way to build a basketball foundation. I, for one, am in agreement with new Pelicans GM David Griffin in that it is a extremely lazy approach to take...

"In team-building, everybody has gotten really lazy in this area. (The flawed mindset is) binary: You have to be either terrible and tank, or you have to win this championship. The reality is that’s not how this works. We have to make small wins every day."

If David Griffin seeks to keep Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans might have to land a third star like Kyrie Irving, Tobias Harris or even Kevin Durant

And it just so happens that Philly lost to one of those so-called "treadmill" teams in the Raptors. Go figure.

You hate a team so much that you would like them to lose more than you want to see your team advance the WCF

I was happy to see Philly lose too. I normally don’t laugh at athletes crying but I had to when Embiid did. That’s gotta put a dent in your tough guy twitter act. I hope someone makes a meme.

Damn you are thick skulled.

Just don't learn.

Thread title makes you look like a total jackass.

You can't call anybody else out for poor behavior when you create thread titles like this, and wish major injury on athletes you don't like.

But instead of just making a thread about "the process" and how you don't believe it is the right way to build a team, you feel the need to use gay slurs in your thread title. Now everyone will be talking about that and making fun of you instead of discussing your topic.

And what you don't realize is that you bring 100% on yourself.

You've literally sided with Wiggy on tanking when debating @TurnUpTheHeat @bksballer89 and myself on the topic. You hypocritical tub of lard.

Let me know when Griffin has the Pelicans in the finals.

Your response here is indicative of a shitty person that needs professional help not to mention extremely poor sportsman and lacking the fundamental appreciation for any sports and then you wonder why you get raked over coals of fire by those who flat hate you. I realize that this is because you lack maturity as a grown man, but with all due respect grow up and start acting like a grown adult instead of a 13 year teenager:L

Zion cried when they lost...doubt it stops anyone from taking him.

Some people get emotional - I have seen grown men cry when their wives came home and showed them how much money they spent(of the man's money):pound:

I have been in locker rooms after season ending losses many times.

In my experience, players cry in these situations for 2 reasons:

1) they expect to win
2) they care a lot

Some don't cry til they get to the locker room. But after a heartbreaking, season ending loss like that, I would personally have more questions about they players who aren't crying than the ones who are.

It is a bit different if the game isn't that close and guys have a chance for it to slowly sink in. But a buzzer beater?

Man, I bet most of the players were crying in the locker room.

I wouldn't question them not crying, but I'd certainly rather they cry than be indifferent.

I don't think you can blame a man for being human and showing emotion. I think most women will tell you that they appreciate a man in their lives who do express emotion. It shows their human side

The guys who really care will show that emotion at some point. Might be in private, might be in a different way than crying.

But yeah, the indifferent guys are not who you want on your team.
