I love the comics and love the Snider movie, especially the extended cut.

I didn't think much of the graphic novel, but I don't like graphic novels. The movie was ok.

This looks far more interesting. Directed by Damon Lindelhoff who did Lost and The Leftovers.

So who watched the first episode?

Pretty jarring and they are definitely taking the story to a very different place, which isn't surprising given that Lindelof is the creator.

I did... I already was very interested, and while completely different to what I expected, I'm even more interested in seeing how this evolves.

Loved it, although I hope they focus on other characters as the lead than Sister Night(Regina King).

i only now of the comic from the movie in the 2000s, so i was a bit lost trying to follow what was going on or who was what, but it had a decent vibe to it. i did try and watch a series they did that was frames of the comic narrated on youtube or something that wasn't bad. either way, still not sure what that was.

The alternate reality angle seems cool, but I wasn't invested in the characters.
Maybe that will come with a few more episodes.

The lack of investment in each character is really detrimental to the first episode but more fundamentally the whole thing felt soulless. The only good scene in the entire episode was when the cop pulls over the lettuce truck.

I'm struggling to think of any good dialogue or action sequence. Thats sad.

DVRed it, but haven't watched the first episode yet, but from the comments. It's not following either the graphic novel (didn't read it) or the movie (it was OK) and I'm OK with that.
