So what do you guys think?

Do they trade up to get in the 1st, if not who do they take in the 2nd? So many options.

sorry, but I guess (per wiggy, at least) I'm being a puss again as I don't have the first clue, at least on who they'll take. My guess is stay put and take a DB or LB.

For the masses who think we need to take Simmons (and I don't necessarily disagree) how many of them do you think saw simmons take even 1 live snap?

I graduated from Miss St so I saw Simmons play a lot. The entire team. I also saw Dak play almost every game in his college career. Simmons is a top 5 defensive talent in this draft and I have zero doubts about it. He is coming off an injury and had the off-the-field incident so we will see how far he drops BUT if he drops to late 1st or early 2nd I wouldn't be surprised at the Browns trading up.

I think they need DL depth but also help in the secondary primarily a #2 CB.

PFF is Simmons listed at 8. 6th highest rated defensive player. Pretty accurate imo

depending on where Greedy Williams goes, i think getting a corner with size like that to play opposite of Ward would be a nice move.

I guess his stock has been falling, so if they did not have to move up too far to take him I would strongly consider it. Moving up to between 35-40 may be high enough.

I think they can fill out linebacker and dline depth elsewhere, but getting a possible premier corner talent is not as easy as some other positions.

I think if Simmons slides past 22/23, you're going to see some activity. He no doubt would be an impact guy when healthy, and it's at a position we need to still bolster. If it means trading our second and some future picks, so be it. There's no question that if he hadn't injured himself, he was a likely top 10 pick.

If we stay put, I think we have to go DB. There are some solid guys that will be available in the mid-2nd round that would definitely fill the need.

If he's all that I hope they get him, also agree there might be zero doubt he should be top 5 (and sucks he got hurt), but guessing guys who were rated higher than him have failed in the NFL or at least not lived up to potential.

Can't say I have a clue about the player but am confident they will take BPA on their board and it will be on defense.

the fact is they cant carry 8 rookies on this team. Consolidating a few picks and moving up is probably a good a idea depending on the value.
wouldn't be shocked at all to see picks move for picks next year.

I agree I still think #2 is the biggest need. As great as Simmons would be getting him late 1st I would rather them move up to a CB who slipped like Murphy, Baker or Greedy. Still some other great options in the 2nd if they decide to stay put like Justin Layne and other guys.

It's really all we can do.

Very true. Did you know that Andy Dalton's a better QB than BigBen because AD has a perfect playoff record?

Would love a CB in the second. If we trade back into the first would that only be to get a D-lineman? I wouldn’t mind Simmons

An offensive lineman after round 2 would be a solid imo

Exactly my thoughts. Safeties are pretty deep they can wait till the 4th or even 5th.

CB#2 is their biggest need imo but I wouldn't be opposed to getting a talent like Simmons. He is a beast.

I heard Dorsey tried to trade up in the 1st bc he had his eyes on 3 prospects. The teams were asking too much, interested to see if those prospects are still there though.

Greedy and Murphy are still OTB. If Dorsey gets the right deal he trades up in the early 2nd. Still a lot of safeties OTB and good targets in general. I am hoping he gets one of those 2 CB's though or Justin Layne. Really like this kid too
