Over 3 years of streaming now and couldn’t be happier.

Life is good with no cable.

About to actually install an outdoor antenna here soon

Glad you're happy! But aren't there some sports channels you would like to access that are owned by your local cable company?

For example, in Philly, I can only get Phillies games via NBC Sports Philadelphia (old CSN) which is owned by Comcast and licensed to Verizon, my cable company. So, I am locked to Verizon, unless I want to view games at a bar. Millions of people have the same problem. Cutting the cord just doesn't work for most people who need certain channels.

Nitro Tv. Just started it yesterday. $20 a month, best IPTV service I've used, yet. Make sure you have a solid VPN

Sling has ESPN. If I have to watch a game on BTN or NBC sports, golf channel... I can log in to FUBO for a week trial and watch, then cancel. Haha. I’m bending everyone over I can.

Unlimited free trials? Then you may run into the ole blackout rule for home games. I prefer total availability even if it ain't free.

Ahh, because Nitro TV is shady and being sued among other things.

Ill stick with my Youtube TV and Philo, i get everything i can possibly want between those 2 and both have great DVR function as well as On Demand content.

May not be the most convenient, but I use my brother's Netflix, have Hulu and Amazon, use Reddit for sports, and Kodi for HBO.

yeah, Nitro isn't exactly "legal" lol.

Well no way for you to know if they have the required licenses. They may have some agreement with a service outside the US. There are over 100 IPTV services now. New ones coming out all over the place. Heck there are still free Apks out there still that have most of the cable channels.

The bigger problem is that you are infringing on the ISPs monopoly of said services and they will shut you off. That all changes soon. Between 5G and Amazon's low flying Satellites, Cable will be a thing for just the elderly and will most likely become extremely cheap if they want to stay in business.

Get an HD antenna. If the channel is not on it then use Reddit or one of the sports websites like 720streams and hook up your device (or cast) to the TV.

Not available on HD antenna. For the streaming websites, I assume I would need an unlimited data plan from my provider. I streamed on MLB.com last year in Arizona using an iPad and had to upgrade. Also, there are the usual horror stories about some streaming websites - you may need a VPN to avoid the nefarious and to avoid blackouts. I'll explore.

Better safe then sorry thats for sure. Opera browser has a built in VPN. VPNs will slow you down though so if your plan speed is marginal your results could be less then desirable. You may want to make sure you have a good anti-virus too. Be prepared to be peppered with ads except for on Reddit.

I agree if you watch a ton of games then your data will slow tremendously by the end of the service month.

TWC sucks ass. My bill changes every damn month even though I have a "guaranteed" price. I end up on the phone for fucking hour. Plus I have to reboot my internet at least once a week.

I look back on this post and this thread I laugh.

Fuck these commie cable bastards. I knew I was on to something

It’s been almost 4 years since I’ve had cable TV now. Today had an antenna guy put this in my attic so I upgraded my antenna basically. Get 83 channels most importantly all major networks in HD and should have no issues for football season coming up. Along with streaming I’ll have more channels and football that I care to watch.

Most importantly I don’t have to call the cable company hardly at all. That’s worth 1 beeelion dollars in my book.

Onward and upward!! Fuck the cable companies!

Might have to give that antenna a try. Cut the cable right after the SB. The antenna I have works, but has random break up due to interference. Maybe this antenna can correct that.
