Looked pretty good. Time will tell, though.

Losing everyone on the OLine doesn't help anything.

Pretty much what we already knew. Hurts has plus arm talent, his problem has always been the fact that he doesn't progress very far into his reads before he takes off. The one throw that screamed "Vintage Jalen Hurts" to me was one that actually worked this time. Towards the end of the video where he was under pressure and floated the ball down by the goal line. You might be able to get away with that against Big XII defenses but come playoff time the way that ball was thrown it's likely going back the other way.

Hurts is good enough to win you the Big XII and have you in playoff contention. The problem y'all are going to have come the postseason is the teams that make the playoffs play pretty good offense too, and the past few years they've played a lot better defense than y'all have.

All I know is he has a damn scary group of people to help him out at the skill positions, especially at WR and TE. From the reliable guys like Morris, Lamb, and Calcaterra, to the group starting their second season and looking like they’ve made huge strides like Rambo and Crawford. Throw in the 3 5 star receivers who showed out in the spring and one of the best freshman TE’s in the country and he’s going to have weapons galore. So much will rely on how the new Oline looks though.

I watched his first drive last night. He took off, ran for like 30-40 yards for the first TD.

But, multiple players touched him and they didn't count him down.

I guess they do things differently in Oklahoma, but after that I couldn't take it very serious from an evaluation standpoint - not that you can much in spring games anyway. But yeah, wtf?

He good though, and with his size I think he'll have a ball in the Big12. I can't wait to watch him do about the same thing as that 30-40 yard TD while mowing down actual Big12 defenders.

From what I've seen the past few years those were actual Big XII defenders.

Hurts will win the Heisman. He fits the Sooner offensive system perfectly. You heard it here first.

Then a lack of defense will exit the land thieves from the playoff in embarrassing fashion...........AGAIN.

Uh the last time we played Georgia wasn’t exactly a defensive masterpiece.

I know, right. Your defense sucked balls in that game. When was the last time Oklahoma showed a defensive masterpiece? I'm 53 and I can't remember it happening.

Then you’re a fucking idiot. Our defense has been bad for years, sure but had consistently good defenses as far back as the late 2000’s. Funny how when Georgia plays an offense with a pulse they suddenly don’t look like a defensive masterpiece. Same shit happened to Michigan last year. Some day you fans of teams who play a bunch teams who are offensively stuck in the 80’s will learn to shut the fuck up about your vaunted defense. The only teams who’ve proven they can do it on the biggest stage are Bama, Clemson, and Ohio State once and even they’ve all had some defensive clunkers at that level.

Riley is hell bound and determined to bring the defense along to match the offense. Is it going to happen over night? Probably not. But he’s going to make it happen. You better hope it takes some time because if he gets a defense to match his offense, you’re all screwed.
