LMAO... Bell's agent is a dumbass
Any agent that advises a client to pass up $14.5M is a dumbass, he lost his cut of that too. Well enjoy NY and the Jest, where your career will wither and die...for less Money!

Yep. After interest/gains, he lost a total of $20million or so. And the overall contract deficit equates to a big disaster for Bell. Kudos to him for trying to be optimistic about it, but it really shows how stupid he is when he is choosing to keep his agent.

This asshole just cannot admit that he fucked up big time...

He won't admit it because he doesn't think he did. He thinks what he's saying makes sense. Just this sentence right here shows how smart he/his agent is:

"If I don't gotta come back, then I'm not gonna come back." So he and his agent made the decision to forfeit a year's worth of paychecks because he found out he can still be a free agent if he sat out the entire year. He doesn't love the game of football. He loves the money he's making. That's all it is to him.

Le'Veon Bell before week 1: "Yeah, I'll come back after week 1 so they can see how much they miss me."

good post , I say good riddance to these two fools, Bell...epic fail, AB ...set a bad precedent for the NFL that will bite a lot of teams in the future...let them crash and burn...Steeler fans will be watching their careers mimic Santonio Holmes, Mike Wallace, Martaveous Bryant, Markus Wheaton and Yancy Thigpen.

Agree..good riddance!!

I have a different opinion on the Brown situation.

When a star player on your team under-contract wants out (which is very rare) the team is going to lose most of the time. just no way around it...if you cut them, you lose. Having him play in PIT in 2019 and be a distraction all season, getting fined means zilch to a player with his kind of money and agenda. Or, get the best deal you can in trade.

Some things that would've made this better for PIT...stop the restructuring. It's largely worked to take of their homegrown star talent, but when it doesn't work (Woodley, and now Brown) the results can be ugly.

The reason I don't expect this to be a huge precedent setting deal is most teams take care of their star players.

The reason I don't expect this to be a huge precedent setting deal is most teams take care of their star players still in their prime. They are not a-hole divas like Brown. But for like minded players that somehow feel they have been wronged by the team...this way out was always there I guess.

This in bold is why I know that he knows he fucked up., It was always all about the money.

He's never going to say it though.

I honestly want to see Bell's kneecap fly off and someone in the stands catches it on his first carry.

Bell on Roethlisberger: 'Wants to win his way'

"Ben has preferences on who gets the ball." "Ben wants to win his way."

JFC. Brown was still the leader in targets, even with skipping the week 16 game.
Pittsburgh Steelers target summary at footballguys.com

While JuJu caught up, Brown still saw almost an identical number of targets as he did in 2017.

Also, Bell saw 106 in 2017, so what the hell would either of these guys have to complain about?

Who saw as many targets as either of these guys in the past two years, in the LEAGUE?

I would like to see the fucker Bell limping too, but it doesn't matter now that the prick got his guaranteed $, he will be more than happy to sit on the bench and collect... AB just jammed the system for a raise and guaranteed $, his bitching and moaning was directed to that end. To Hell with both of those Bastards, I don't think either will match the success they had in the Burgh, both will be broke long before their careers circle the drain.

thats some priceless crap
Well we should have expected some of the things he said... He did have an entire year to concoct all that nonsense.

You would think he could have come up with something more believable, or slightly based in fact.

Yep. He could have gotten more respect by just moving forward. Instead he's focusing on pulling punches & glamorizing his image.

Polishing the turd sotospeak.

You really didn't expect him to say "I fucked up, let my team down, looked like a Horse's ass, and settled for less money, with an inferior team ." did you?

I would have settled for: "Things didn't pan out exactly how I wanted them to..."

At least showing of a tiny shred of humility.
