Bridgewater back with the Saints -- so there is that.

I don't know if he's any better than what they already have I'd just stick with Tanny until they find his heir.

Bridgewater is out he resigned in NO I guess starting for an NFL team was too much for him to handle. Waste of potential...

Not quite sure I agree with the second part of your post. Word is that he didn't want to be a "bridge" guy. It seems he felt he had more of a sure thing with the Saints.

Also, its being said that it was a financial decision that led to him going back to the Saints - he didn't get the financial offer he was looking for from the Dolphins -- as much as he DID want to play here.

Smart move on the part of the Fins in that regard -- no sense in throwing money at a guy you know you don't want to necessarily commit to long-term.

Bortles, McCarron still out there -- some trade options/UDFA always possible -- and, of course, Tannehill is the man.

In other news, the Fins have seemingly decided to pay the roster bonus for Robert Quinn as the deadline has passed to cut him before it kicked in. -- so he is still on the roster at the moment.

How about taking the challenge to outright win the job it's not like he's old. Instead he's going to hide behind brees and hope he retires one day. I'm sorry thats weak in my opinion... glad he didn't sign with Miami he obviously couldn't cut it too weak minded...

Reasonable argument.

I still say I don't blame the guy for opting for what he may have felt was more of a sure thing for his future with the Saints. I think considering the injury he had -- going for the sure thing is better than the unknown.

You are admitting defeat without even trying I can't live my life that way. Seize your opportunities or someone else will.

Scratch Kaepernick off the list for me -- This organization doesn't need a diva like him.

My list in order of preference would be:
Bortles
Fitzpatrick
Glennon
RG3

Bortles atop my list due to being younger -- talent and upside left in him -- Much like I said about Bridgewater -- he could come in and be thought of as the "bridge" guy at first but play his way into being the starter for much longer than first thought. Everyone wins.

Fitzpatrick is a savvy veteran that always prove to have a little something left in him. Of the guys on the list, he would be the ideal guy for a young QB to learn from on and off the field.

Glennon would be good enough to help the team have a decent season and keep things afloat -- but not a big difference maker.

RG3 - Been through a lot injury wise but I am sure he still has a big play or two in him.

Amen. Its all irrelevant and in the past now -- and I am not making excuses for the team -- but I think if the Fins really did want him they would've engaged him far sooner in the process -- the Fins really didn't come along until news broke that it wasn't yet a done deal with the Saints.

The Fins had/have other priorities as I have said all off-season long beyond the QB position -- thats where the focus seems to be -- as it should be.

Free agency isn't over -- the Fins aren't done. Lets wait and see how it all shakes out.

I am suggesting NOTHING by this but beyond Tannehill and Fales, the Dolphins do have Jake Rudock out of Michigan on their roster -- He has been a backup for the better part of his short career -- but was solid coming out of college and has some potential.

Hes an option at the very least to compete for the job.

Right now I'd renegotiate Tanny he's the best option. Falk is also still here no? I'd at least give him a look especially if they don't draft a QB...

Yes, I agree with above. The Suh signing really hampered the overall ability for them to get other pieces that were needed. Hopefully they will be smarter this time around. The Allen signing pretty much says to me, they wasted picks last year on two TE's. He is not a leader, never was with the other teams, so I not sure what they intend to be with him and the other TE's. I will say they did get him for decent price, but that should tell you something in itself.

There was a lot of talent elsewhere drafted after Mike Gesicki that the Fins could have used

Allen was a very strong locker room presence......

There it is . Tannehill traded by the Fins to the Titans and will sign a new one year deal . I wish him all the best on and off the field . He was a model guy here off the field despite how things may have gone on the field .

Now that everyone got what they wanted — Fins fans can be Fins fans and now complain about the return we got for him .

The return was probably about right, Tannehill has injury issues and is not a top 10 or 15 QB.

There was something else going on or envy as some former players cheered the decision. Otherwise why not keep him as your bridge QB?

I have not seen much of the cheering from former players that you speak of -- but I would not doubt it.

That being said, I would make nothing of it -- especially at this point. I don't particular care for bulletin board material/trash talk between players, teams etc -- I just view it as guys simply voicing their opinions, which they have every right to do so.

Everything doesn't have to be controversial.

Its like the crap people are trying to make of the post Bridgewater made when officially deciding to go back to the Saints -- everyone wanted to make it seem like a dig at the Fins for not getting him and Brees some years back.

To me, it had nothing to do with the Dolphins -- but the media is always trying to make something out of nothing so that there is always something to write about.

Rumors of Colin Kaepernick wanting to play for the Fins. I would rather the Fins use their punter at QB before ever adding that attention whore. As much as I admire and agree with what he is fighting for, its just a distraction this organization doesn't need during this rebuilding process. That being said, we do have a few guys on our team that do support his campaign, so there might be guys that lobby for him to at least get a chance.

Ryan Fitzpatrick the newest Miami Dolphins QB -- its a 2-year deal worth 11 million -- incentives could make it between 17 and 20 million per Adam Schefter

He's cheap and entertaining I can live with it. Just as long as he can mentor a young guy I'm cool. It's obvious that this will be the plan now...
