A lot of great young talent in the league right now. Still Lebron, at 34, is still the gold standard for the NBA.
Easy one for me to make as I watched 4 seasons with him where at best the regular season was painful to watch. All year it was "you cannot just turn it on and off". Then they would go from off to on in the playoffs. and they would do it by beating top seeds on the road, including GS once.
I read about all these greatest players in the NBA. I rarely see Joelle Embiid mentioned. He eats some of those guys for lunch when they play against each other. He tears up AD. In a year or two, he will be the best player in the NBA.
He has been the best player on the court in just about every game. The other note he was sick. He dominates just about every game.Possible.
He was most definitely the best player on the court today in Philly.

They don't even play the same position. Just about every guard in the NBA get career highs against the 6ers.For some reason he brings out the best in Westbrook, wish they played more lol.
You really don't think Giannis has surpassed LeBron? He is about equal to LBJ offensively, but much better defensively.
Lebron is still at the top. The gap is definitely a lot more narrow than it used to be though.
Until Harden learns to play defense he is not going to come close. Hell, maybe if he even TRIED to play defense he'd be more discussed in this topic.
Lebron isn't even top 5 in the league now. Top 6-7 at best. If Leonard put some real effort in in previous years, Lebron wouldn't have been the best in the game for the past 3-4 years.

think it's just a matter of time till Giannis is the best player.....he truly is a freak for a big man like him.
James numbers are on par with his career numbers....
26.7ppg this season, 27.1ppg career.
8.6rpg this season, 7.4 career.
7.4apg, 7.2.
51.6%, 50.4%
35.8%, 34.4%
67%, 74%
So, he's only down a little in ppg and FT %.
Still a beast.
