We tried the high maintenance, expensive WR route before and I think once is enough. Really hard to fathom why anyone would think it's a good idea to bring in a diva to this team with how hard the front office has worked over the last year to turn that aspect of the team around, given the results of all that effort.

Brown would lose his mind with the way the Hawks use receivers/pass game. The guy got 168 targets and was constantly complaining about under-utilized.

Exactly. He's also on the wrong side of 30. Talented sure, but how many more years does he have of being an elite receiver? Not worth the headache.

Give me Golden Tate over Brown... I wouldn't want that headache...

I still feel like tagging and trading Earl is the best option. We need draft picks badly and we need them in this draft.

I feel that's a pretty unlikely route. If we just let him go away, we could be looking at a 3rd round comp pick in 2020. Given that all 31 other teams know the relationship is fractured, I don't think we stand much of a chance of getting something better than that in a trade. Plus, we may need to use our exclusive tag on Frank Clark.

If he has a choice, he is going to the Cowboys. The only way another team gets him is through a trade, so there is that.

Unless you know him personally or can see the future, I'm not sure you can definitively say where he's going to end up. Money tends to talk in these situations, especially when he's probably looking at his final big payday. And it's just patently false that the "only way" another team gets him is through a trade.

He has made it clear he wants to be a cowboy, i would say 95% chance he goes there if he is a FA. He would complete that defense.

Depends on their cap situation and what FA's they need to resign.

Dallas has 53m with 47 or 48 players signed. It looks like they will have plenty of room to sign him to at least a 1 year deal

Exactly. I don't see any reason that Dallas couldn't afford him if they want him.

The answer to any 'don't see any reason' query where the Cowboys are concerned, has one answer: Jones, Jerry.

Actually, if Jerry's making the decision - then I think its even more likely they'd want to open their pocketbooks. He's known for thinking with his heart and not his head when it comes to personnel decisions.

I've moved on from Earl Thomas the moment he flipped off the Hawks sidelines... I can careless where he goes or what he does at this point...

There was a rumor that Sherman wants to recruit Earl and bring him to the 49ers. I really do not like the idea of the 9ers getting Jimmy G back along with their #2 overall pick god forbid its Nick Bosa, along with possibly trading for Antonio brown and then on top of all that sign Earl Thomas

I see what you're saying but is Jimmy G really that good? He hasn't proven anything yet, imo...

With SF
  • '17 - (7) TD's / (5) INT's (On pace for 19 TD's / 14 INT's for the season)
  • '18 - ((5) TD's / (3) INT's (On pace for 27 TD's / 16 INT's for the season)
It's not like he's setting the world on fire...Especially in a day when Quarterbacks are lighting it up and throwing few INT's in doing so...
