The youngest team in 31 years to make the playoffs has a real shot to contend next season. Besides looking for a new OC, the first order of business will be our own FA's. Here are the Cowboys who are now out of contract

DeMarcus Lawrence - Highest priority, great player and leader, must resign
Cole Beasley - Love this player and he can still play, but will have to be the right deal for the club IMO
Geoff Swaim - Good player, but with Jarwin and Schultz playing well, will have to be the right deal as well
Tavon Austin - Would be nice to have him, but at what price? Either/or with him and Beasley IMO
L.P. Ladouceur - Sure
Cam Fleming - Will have to come cheap
Damien Wilson - Had a nice season, can't spend big money on him though
Rod Smith - Must come cheap, or like Fleming and Wilson, could be replaced in the draft
David Irving - Whatever you were going to give this turkey should go to the Earl Thomas fund

For the most part agree. Lock up Lawrence, the other moves are nice but also replaceable.

Earl Thomas would be nice but not worth jeopardizing other future contracts for.

What do we do with Sean Lee? Is he back? Is he expendable?

If you cut Lee post June 1, it's a $7 million savings against the cap. As much as I like him, I just can't see how they keep him. He's not a guy I would want to restructure and extend because of his age and injury history. They have a young star at his position. That money has to be used elsewhere IMO. Earl Thomas will likely end up somewhere else as well. Can't really justify the money he would command at his age coming off an injury. Really expect the Cowboys to try and keep their own young players and continue to draft strong

Little worried about losing Beasley. I think he is Daks security blanket. Not sure we can pay him a boatload of cash. Amari in the slot though in 3rd down - wow.

Beasley can be easily replaced.

Beasley will have to give a home town discount IMO. I agree on Amari, if you line him up in the slot, you will know every time if they are in man or zone, and no one is checking him one on one with a two way go.

Really like bease, but depends on contract. I also see bease as an aging player now and we need to be careful. Jarwin seems to be the guy now. I would like Earl Thomas but only at the right price. the most urgent is DLAW.. is there a good DT that we can sign in FA? I could really give a fuck if Irving returns. Waste of a roster spot

He is a JJ pet, just like Garrett. We maybe saying this 10 years from now.

Beasley isn't going anywhere. He's a team player and will not play for any other team.

That's my opinion, of course, so the offseason will tell, but I'm certain he's going to be a Cowboy until he retires and will play for peanuts just to have a chance at a championship as a Cowboy.

On Sean Lee, I have been mixed all year as he sat out most of it with injuries again, but after seeing him last night, I would not want to see him let go. As fast as LVE and Smith are, the instincts of Lee are unmatched, and he brings his A-game on each play. I'm willing to take a wager on him for next year, but I'm not the owner who has to crunch the numbers.

I will wager that if Lee plays, he will get injured. Lee needs to retire. Thank him for being a Cowboy and excellent LB, but injuries are too much.

Gary Kubiak may want to be an OC again. The time to make the change is now. There are several other candidates, but Kubiak possibly the best out there if he decides to coach again. We need an OC to design plays that best suit the players we put on the field.

You cannot go into next season without coaching changes. You are giving the finger to your fans.

New article out there with Stephen Jones saying no decision made yet regarding Lenihan. Jerry also has not said a peep since the loss which means someone is going to get fired.
