Among other things I collect WWI sidearms. Here are a couple of the more difficult to find mouse guns that made their way onto the battlefield. The war obviously went on a lot longer than anybody thought and the warring powers all learned that far from being just a badge of rank, the sidearm was a legitimate and necessary weapon. The problem was that nobody had enough of them nor the capacity to build enough fast enough. As a result, practically every civilian pistol on the market at the time got pressed into military service alongside the dedicated military sidearms the various armies started the war with.

The Frommer Lilliput - one of the commercial "vest pocket" pistols that along with lots of other mouse guns got pressed into military service for the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

The Star Bonifacio Echeverria (Star) 1914. About 20,000 of these Spanish pistols were supplied to French officers along with the Ruby which was supplied to the French army in much larger numbers. A 7.65 browning pistol doesn't sound like much but it was probably better than brass knuckles and clubs and spades which were also used in nasty close quarter trench fights.

I've been debating about another Fierce carbon edge LH in .22-250 I've have them in .300 Win Mag and 6.5MM Creedmor. I've got Coopers in .204 Ruger, .223 Rem, .222 Rem, .17 Hornet, and .17 HMR. I think it would round out my bolt action varmint rifles real well and still be a back up rifle for speed goats.

I'm planning on getting a revolver (likely a Smith & Wesson .357 or .38 special) and Henry Big Boy this year.

Debating on a 6mm at the moment. Built on a mauser 98 action. Could open up the bolt face and rebarrel to another caliber or possibly a wildcat.

TBH unless I go into vintage or military weapons - which I don't see I am pretty much as far as I can go right now. Right now I have pistols in 22, 32, 7.62x25, 9mm, 38, 40, and 45. Long guns in 22, 223, 30-30, 7.62x39, 7mag, 30.06 and 300 win mag.

In addition I have more than one copy of 8 calibers.

From what I hear the creedmore is a really good round. I have not had the opportunity to shoot one yet though.

I've owned many guns throughout the decades, but never a .45 ACP..... and I'm finally going to take the plunge soon. The pistol I'm getting is the Walther PPQ 45 M2. Many folks say it could possibly be the finest mass produced .45 ACP ever.

The Walther PPQ 45 won the NRA American Rifleman’s Golden Bullseye Award for Handgun of the Year in 2017.

Picked up a French Contract Savage 1907. During WWI France bought several thousand of these. I was lucky to find this example which is in pretty good condition.

Bought this off a friend. $360 with the case. He wanted someone to have it that would appreciate it.

I also picked up a Arsenal refinshed mosin 91/30 with bayonet and the SL3 cleaning gear and stuff. I’ve broken 30 in the collection.

Custom built. Spikes tactical lower. 18 inch barrel, I need to look at by who. MaGPull trigger housing. Trijicon RCO. Custom cerakote job.
It was highway robery what I paid but my friend is giving up shooting and wanted me to have it. It was built by a mutual acquaintance who I also had do work for me on a few projects.

I shot it a few years back and was pinging steel at 500.

Picked up my first AR build kit at a gun show last Sunday. Went there to get a Sig 238 for my wife, but they didn't have the right model.

Will purchase a CCW probably 9mm this year. What, dunno, have it narrowed down, but need to put in some range time with these to decide which is best for me. No, not going to carry my 44 magnum or worse my 44 Automag (although I do have a shoulder holster for both).

For your every day carry (EDC) handgun, make sure it's not something too nice/costly. If you get in an incident where you pull or shoot your handgun, you need to be prepared to have it confiscated by the authorities. It might take months to get it returned to you...sometimes you may not get it back at all. Keep the nice guns at home, and EDC something that won't upset you too much if it's confiscated.

Ruger makes some nice inexpensive EDC subcompact 9mm's.... it's the Ruger EC9s (model 3283), and goes for approx. $205 - $215:

After test shooting I purchased the Ruger Ec9s. Great little shooter. Was putting ball on ball at 5 and 7 yards. Will have to add paint to the sights but very manageable.
