It isn't like the Bengals set the bar high here. The Browns have more young talent than almost any team in the NFL right now, including a record-setting young QB. The Bengals have a massive choker at QB, their best offensive player is a 30-year old now injury prone player, and the defense is a total joke. Hell, we had the worst head coach in NFL history for half the year this year and still were a much better team.
But can't you see how funny it is when a Browns fan is arguing about how they are better than a Bengals team?

I agree with you that the Browns are on the way up. I thought their HC job was the most sought after.
But it is still the Browns. The team that has win totals of 7,0,1,3,7,4,5,4,5,5,4 the last 11 years. That is historically bad. Sure there looks to be light at the end of the tunnel, but let's wait till the team does something.
They have had 2 double digit win totals since 1988.

nah... some teams were lucky enough to be the only on the list of a certain failed packer coach...

The Steelers haven't won since 2009. SO, in reality, Big Ben may have a great playoff record the last 10 years, but come Super Bowl Sunday for the last 10 years, Both QB's have been watching from home.
Another thing, most years the Bengals have been to the playoffs, the offensive has pretty much been drained due to injuries by playoff time and Dalton has had to throw to backups.
Dalton has 1 td and six picks, u lose

What Ben has done the last 10 years in the playoffs, does it really matter?

I understand their history. Trust me, I've lived through it all. The biggest failure has been our lack of a GM who can properly identify talent. Clearly that has been solved, so I don't think it's necessarily fair to compare the current team to those ones. Obviously NFL teams can change dramatically year to year. Not only are we a full season removed from the 0-16 team that was one of the least talented teams in the NFL, but we're also now removed from having Hue Jackson. The teams from 4-5 years ago have nothing to do with this current one from a talent and performance standpoint, in the same way the Bengals teams from that timeframe have nothing to do with this one other than that the best players from those years are now older and not as good.

In all honesty, when it comes to quarterbacks, this is what really matters in the AFC. Does Big Ben's playoff stats really mean anything? Dalton was overshadowed by Ben, and Ben was overshadowed by Brady.

Not in disarray, the Bengals are a very young team. With a young head coach and OC on the way in. They'll breath some life into a young Bengals team.

BUT you still have Dalton

and for me as a jet fan... I am lucky... I invented a time machine... so even though I am only 33, I was able to travel back to 1969 to see them beat the colts... Even went to the game... That's how cool I am... so I have seen my team win a championship...

No shit.... But it's still possible the Browns step right back into the cellar next season.

I honestly wouldn't count on it. They won 7 games with one of the youngest teams in the NFL. They have a ton of cap, their young players are more experienced, their QB and RB are set in stone. They have a lot of talent just need to fill the roster with veterans and a couple playmakers.

Gregg Williams?

You do realize Gregg Williams was there when Hue was there right? Kitchens wasn't calling the plays when Hue was there though...I mean, it's common sense. That being said, not crazy about the hiring, I love him as OC though.
