You kind of need an arm to play in the Air Raid. If he did transfer he’d throw more passes in one season than he has from his junior year of HS until present day.

Sure, but I’m down with it. Our recruiting pitch could start to be, if you can’t see the field on Alabama, come to Wazzu and get in the Heisman discussion. If we are going to go the Oregon route of transfers might as well go big and Alabama scraps over FCS scraps.

He never was supposed to start in 16, but Barnett choked big time against USC and Hurts handled the pressure. He threw well enough against lesser defenses that had to respect his running, but his passing amounted to throwing to Ridley if he was wide open or tucking and running.

That said, he did run for a lot of yards and TDs that season, and left the field for the last time with a 31-28 lead in the BCSCG. It’s a bit unfair to him he was judged somewhat harshly for that loss, when in reality the plan was for him to use that season to develop as a passer under Kiffin.

Benny Snell (jr) is gone. If he had stayed another year, he would have broken all SEC records and most of NCAA. He is NFL bound with eligibility left. RB is not our concern, we have some excellent prodigies. QB and WRs are though.

Terry Wilson, made some good moves but is am average P5 QB. We had one scholly QB transfer and the back-up QB (Gunnar Hoak) is rumored to transfer. One of the two incoming QBs is dealing with a torn ACL. Defense should be solid again as well as Oline.

No it isn't about feelings, Hurts really didn't play poorly either. He did get a raw deal but it is what it is, he handled it well.

He didn't get a raw deal. He got beat out for the job. He chose to stay at Alabama & get better at QB under Dan Enos (which he did), support his teammates, and try to win another national title (which didn't quite work out). I thought Saban should have put him in sooner against Clemson. It might have made a difference in the ball game. Then, again, it might not have. Clemson was a beast in that game.

I wish Jalen Hurts nothing but success in the future.
