Gotta can the GM too for that awful hire. It's a clown show until otherwise. Hope you got it right.
I tend to agree. However, I was ok giving him another year simply because he did have some success with a very unsuccessful franchise. If things get worse this year, he is gone.

Very true. And I can certainly be one of them when posting with a select few.

Verbal jousting is fine but some it is very off putting.

Suddenly folks are retarded faggot libtards.....

Likely flung from the pre-puberty faction but not always.

Well, if we are talking about Kingsbury, what would make him a good HC? That - I think - is the risk.

How many succesful college coaches have gone directly from college HC to NFL HC and had more than flash-in-the-pan success? Kelly, Harbough, Saban? All miserable failures quite quickly.

I think that a lot of people who criticize the hire would have more faith in him succeeding as an OC, and then becoming a HC rather than immediately jumping in as a HC. Being a HC for an NFL team is a completely different job compared to being HC for a college team.
Exactly. He was a bad recruiter and never focused on defense. That's why he had a lack of success in college. There is no real recruiting aspect in the NFL so that is a non-issue. An NFL head coach is more of a leader. We will see if he has that quality very quickly. The key now is to find a quality DC so he can focus on what he does well.

I don't know if he will be shit, but I will reserve judgement until I see the product on the field.

Were there really people saying Nagy was a bad hire?
There were people calling for his head this year. And yes, I seem to remember people kicking the Bears brass in the nuts about the hire.

I agree with OP, Kingsbury is an awful hire.

Everyone is an expert...

Kingsbury is an awful hire.
McCarthy sucks and nobody should hire him
Arians was an awful hire by the Cards
Arians is an awful hire by the Bucs
Frank Reich was an awful hire
Anthony Lynn was an awful hire
Andy Reid was washed up and should retire
etc. etc. etc.

Let's not forget about these...
Pederson was an awful hire
McVay was an awful hire
Nagy was an awful hire

If a team doesn't hire a literal Belichick clone they made an awful decision.

Personally, I like the outside the box thinking by the cards. They are the worst team in the league, if there was any time to take a risk, it would be now. We know Kingsbury can put together a great offensive team and the cards had the worst offense in the league. Kind of makes sense to me.

Now somebody tell me who is the sure fire, next Belichick that the Cards should have hired or any of the other for-mentioned teams for that matter.

For the record. I do the same shit so don't think I am excluding myself. Like the thread title says, it's my favorite thing about SportsHoopla
Bill O’Brien sucks fucking dick as a coach. Fight me.

No shit, this is a place where people debate and share opinions. Kind of the point. What are you going to say "Hey, I believe this... but I don't know shit. So, if you disagree - you're probably correct." lol

True but there are the select few that guarantee victory and tell people they are blind and idiots if they think the Eagles can beat the Bears. Ring a bell?

If they played tomorrow, I'd be confident again.

I was excited and having fun talking trash. We haven't been good in years - so I enjoyed myself and stirred the pot during a playoff week. I showed up no more than 10 minutes after the single most bone crushing loss of my life-long sports fandom and ate crow. Not sure what more ya want. I'll be reeling from that shit into baseball season.

The difference between your bluster and bullshit about the Bears being a lead pipe cinch and my bluster and bullshit about Dallas beating LA this weekend is that your bluster and bullshit was just that....

My bluster and bullshit on the other hand is precognition....
