Doesn't each team have a system? It tickles me when people refer to system players. Oyyyy that is the way shit works on all teams.

It kinda seemed like he was pursuing that deal more than the other way around though. He just wants another HOF QB to work with.

You could be right but Rodger's is a little long in the tooth also. I'm not sure he makes decent HC but I would rather coach a team like say a Cleveland who has never won anything in the SB era, you can only be a hero, esp with a very good rookie QB. You go to GB who is used to winning save the last 2 seasons, and you could be a bum in a short time. But of course GB is one of the coaching dream jobs out there, with their history and length of coaching jobs.

The Pats missed the playoffs with Matt Cassel. And in Denver, McD didn't make the playoffs either. Brady is the only reason Josh McDaniels has any clout whatsoever.
They did miss the platoffs, but they also went 11-5 w/o Brady. 11-5 is usually good enough during most seasons.

10-5. Brady played the first game even though he got injured.

When McD doesn't have Brady, he isn't as good.

Obviously doesn't understand how stats are kept for QBs. Brady started the game. The Pats won. It's counted as a win for Tom Brady. Doesn't matter if he left in the 1st or the 4th.

Oh I understand the way the NFL credits wins/losses which is moronic.

It was 0-0 when he left.

Care to explain how he won that game besides the stupid way the NFL credits it?

You realize Pete Carroll had only one 10 win season thru his first 6 years as an HC.

The Browns have had ONE 10 win season since 1995.

10-5 (11-5) is not that bad. Many an organization would love to have that record.

Just so we're straight I don't care one way or the other if Josh gets an HC job or not. He's done a good job as an OC in NE so I'm happy.

You're pickin nits and you know it. McDaniels coached Cassell up all pre-season and throughout the year culminating in 11 wins after Brady went down.

Oh, the clamor for Broncos coaches is deafening!!!!!

The Broncos weren't good with McDaniels. When McD doesn't have Brady, he's isn't nearly as successful as people expect him to be. Perhaps if he had started Tebow in Denver, he may have saved himself from getting fired. Guess he wasn't smart enough to do that though.

McDaniels just needed a good GM like Belichick.
