Had the heat realized early enough the 3 point shot wasn’t working , they’d still be in this game - they did this to themselves. It’s not about who isn’t getting playing time

When you're shooting this bad, it is. You have your best offensive player on the bench and your best shooter on the bench and you have 57 points through 3 quarters

McGruder and Tyler with a total of 3 points but he couldn't find a minute of action for Waiters or Ellington?

Games like this is exactly why Heat fans hate Spo. Nothing is going on with the offense and he absolutely refuses to play Waiters or Ellington

Waiters is the best offensive player on the team probably and Ellington is the best spot up shooter on the team. I'm sure they can't give the offense a boost

Heat fans hate spo because they don’t even know why — whenever things go sour it’s akways about placing blame on the coach for heat fans and nothing as far as accountability towards players.

It’s the players taking 3s when they shouldn’t , turning the ball over — not Spo or any coach for that matter .

But the most important part of all this is , why do we keep complaining when this team has these kinds of melt downs ? It’s not the first or last time . We know who this team is . More of this is yet to come .

It’s still early but 38 games into the season why are surprised with anything about this team — then something is really wrong with you .

We know who this organization is and will be under Riley — unless he is no longer running things or changes pg

What I do know is a guy who is pretty clearly our best offensive player should not be DNP-CD for 2 straight games. He is the best offensive player on the team and you got freaking McGruder playing over him? McGruder been bad for weeks now and Waiters is just as good on defense as he is.

It is ridiculous

They need to make a trade. This is a flawed roster with way too many guys who play the exact same position

I think we both know that giving those guys minutes when the team is relatively healthy most likely means taking minutes away from other guys — Wade would probably one of them — that would hurt his and a lot of other butts in “ heat nation “.

It’s wishful thinking at this point in his career and in today’s nba — but with a now healthy roster ( as we wait for Goran ) Spo should go back to a traditional starting lineup which would put Waiters starting at SG and then Winslow at SF and Richardson at PG until Goran returns . This move would settle the minutes discussion involving Waiters. With this position-less nonsense there is always going to be this BS talk about not being able to find minutes for players .

I’m sure they will trade another future second round draft pick for cap space again soon enough .

The Hawks just own the heat this season and we shouldn’t be as surprised as we are — at least this season .

The heat are simply not good enough to assume ANY game at ANY point is a sure win .

It’s worth noting , I want to see Dion and Wayne play as much as anyone here — but if we look at the many areas the heat struggled in tonight , I just don’t think them NOT playing is what actually contributed to this loss . They could’ve both played, if not at least one — and the heat would’ve found a way still to struggle from the line , turn the ball over too much — and not be as efficient from now three despite they make about 14-15 a game on average:

Too late now , but the heat should try Ellington and /or Waiters first off the bench when struggling to find offense instead of always making it about “ one last dance “

Heat off to an unsurprising slow start on offense — especially so from 3 again

A good reminder that Waiters is not the best FT shooter — two clutch FTs missed — we have Wade for that already

Horrible execution. But one of those silly unforced turnovers that K.O. Tends to commit too often .

But this is just the most heat way for them to lose .

It’s unfortunate that a good performance from Waiters gets wasted on such terrible execution to lose the game .

Won’t get easier versus Boston

Gotta try and win these next 2. Heavy road stretch afterwards.

No need for KO to try the home run play while trailing. I'm ok with that in a tied game or if we had less than a second on the clock but way too risky in that scenario. If the pass is not perfect then you lose the game without even getting a shot off.

Frustrating because we had solid performances from just about everyone who played with the exception of the Johnson Brothers and McGruder.

McGruder is not doing much to keep his job. Can't have 2 inconsistent scorers like him and JJ in the starting lineup on a daily basis. I'll give it roughly 2 weeks before Waiters get his starting SG job back.

For a guy who was out for over a year due to surgery, he looks pretty damn sharp in the 2 games he played.

Lets just hope the adrenaline Waiters is playing with doesn’t wear off too soon .

As for the frustration of losing without even getting a shout off , the heat have had enough of those already this season — but that’s what they get for not putting the ball in the hands of the right person in that situation given how the game was going .

Richardson has no business taking last shot - especially not last night

And with that +18 at the half for the heat as they continue their trend of bi-polar performances from one game /half to the next
