Does most teams (not all) of the sec East just pad their win column with cupcake wins.

The sec East was 2-4 in the Bowls this year.

The Bowls is where after a successful season you are rewarded by playing another quality team that is Bowl worthy to see how you measure up...

The sec East was 0-3 against Big12 Teams... which make matters worse.

--- You remember sec fan likes to point out that the Big12 plays no defense and can not compete with the sec teams (or that is what they say the rest of the year)

6 out of 7 teams from that Division made it to the Bowls … how is that even mathematically possible???

--- Well they play only 8 Conference games which leave them 4 games to schedule any way they want --- and it appears that every sec team pulls a "Florida" and plays at least 1 FCS team + most will grab another cupcake or 2 and magically making them Bowl qualified --- but it appears all are not Bowl worthy...

but it doesn't matter they each take their Bowl payout pool it and divvy it up among all sec teams … then they tell everyone how great they are (see DR's posts as to how hard it is to play in the sec east)

when in reality sec east is 0-3 against the Big12 (and sec over all is 1-3 against the Big12) …

Of this entire read, this passage is no longer true. Like it or not, the bowl system is no longer what it once was....and poor grammar, OP.

Down series of years for the SEC East, but looks to be extremely competitive in 2019. Kentucky comes off a 10-win year, Mizzou was really strong down the stretch and adds Kelly Bryant, Pruitt has Tennessee on the right track, and of course, Florida and Georgia.

One day, Neil may talk about Texas instead of the SEC, but the odds aren’t very good.

Were those games against the Big 12 the only bowl games SEC East teams played or were their others? Oh wait, you mentioned 6 teams in the division made it to bowls. So how did the other three do?

Oh. Now I see why you somehow forgot to mention those results.

Since you were so keen on talking about UF's OOC schedule I think it only fitting that we mention the fact that UF has played 18 final ranked OOC opponents in the last 20 years. That includes 2 national champs. Texas meanwhile has only played 6. In case math is not your strong suit, that is only 1/3rd as many ranked opponents as UF played.

Last I checked, Texas lost to Maryland. Again.

You have to throw out the Vandy loss, they would not have been in a bowl if the SEC played a 9 game schedule.

An again 16 of those games were against FSU, your rival 2 hours down the road. Stop acting like it’s some great feat of Florida’s to play FSU yearly.
