This is my personal assessment and not to be construed as gospel.

Lamar Jackson is not likely to have the kind of postseason success with Baltimore that Joe Flacco had. In fact, if Joe could have done it again this postseason, Baltimore has traded in another immediate shot at the super bowl this year for a future superbowl that may or may not happen.

Jackson is not likely to outcompete Luck, Mayfield(I'm not sure why I said his name but wth), Maholmes, Watson. Jackson hardly gets the ball to his playmakers (Brown and Crabtree) and that's going to be a problem if he does not learn to throw to them often.

If Flacco was still starting, and I honestly don't believe he loses those games as Jackson won because all of those teams outside KC were worse than what Baltimore played in the first half, I would ride Baltimore all the way. But I won't go that far with Jackson.

I understand what happens in 2014 does not matter in 2018, but some people do play off of past experience and if they were there for a number of years then that experience from three years ago does help. If Flacco's play has fallen off that much based on regular season that improvement in the postseason won't help, then Baltimore has a long ways to go to get back to that kind of success.

I know, Flacco is an unpopular QB around here, but his 10-5 playoff record speaks for itself, and is not going to be topped by Jackson.

This team succeeds on the back of it's defense, run game, and a small helping of Jackson. Forcing that defense to spy your QB can only help open up the passing game.

Besides, his past experience was in 2012 and 2014. That's a long streak of not even getting to the playoffs since for a QB to still be on the team (a result of overpaying him most likely).

So Flacco had been one of the best playoff stretches in history, logic would state he wouldn’t be as successful

My guess is Baltimore is looking for a new QB at the start of 2021, if not sooner.

Because Jackson won’t replicate
Flaccos playoff run
I don't think he'll make it through 2 regular seasons. He's a phenomenal athlete and a good leader, but he won't be able to live on legs alone.

I pretty much agree, although I don't think Luck will get past the Texans regardless of how well he performs....
Flacco is the better qb and they called him flip switch Flacco when he hit the playoffs because he hit another gear....
People don't realize that with all the change and lack of ever having a playmaker wr, the last 2 years in a row, Flacco had us winning the last game to make the playoffs and the D gave it up both times...
If Harbs was smart, he would put Flacco in on several plays to give us the deep ball threat, and use Buckwheat to do the only thing he can, run and short passes....
But as we all know, he's not the brightest bulb in the box....He probably don't know it's legal to do that....:D
But I'll gladly take the Lombardi even if it's by Buckwheat, Alfalfa and the gang...

So OldFool, How are you doing with "Buckwheat" leading your team to the playoffs while Flacco watches and twiddles his thumbs?

Are you having to resort to making fun of the way he talks? How low will you sink? You must be hurting, Dude.....

Bet u like him now

I have been listening to OldStool for years now. It is amazing how he always comes out on the wrong side of any discussion. He's really struggling these days. I'm worried for him if Jackson should continue to win.
Can you imagine how he feels with Jackson being richer, smarter, faster, stronger, and better looking?
