Anybody keep up with it before the Frozen Four?

It's hard in Atlanta where the closet school is UAH, but after that it's not close at all. But I have always enjoyed the Frozen Four, and might try to get into the regular season now.

I try to catch several B1G conference games throughout the season and at least some of the B1G tournament.

Michigan
Michigan State
Minnesota
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Penn State
Wisconsin

No fluff in that conference; some good, tough hockey top to bottom.

I go to a few OSU games a year, and follow them on Facebook to get scores. I don't pay a ton of attention nationally, though.

I have season tickets to BGSU and I travel to most away games, so yes I do. And I have no idea why anyone would go to a Buckeyes game, the fan turnout is hilarious, and when BG plays them almost every year the BG fans are louder than Buckeyes, it’s really sad. But the B1G is absolutely loaded this year. I am even going to a few Northeastern games this year.

So, make fun of the turnout, then question why anyone would go?

Hopefully attendance gets better when they get the new arena (should provide a better atmosphere.... The Schott just sucks all around.)

You can get 6k in there and it will look "empty".

I go to a few games a year and this year will probably pay a bit closer attention because two of my son's teammates from years past have made teams in Miami and OSU.

BGSU is on his short list, so I will probably go up to a game or two there this year if I can. He's played in that arena before. It's a pretty great place to watch a game.

I, of course, don't have a college team that plays hockey. However, I'm looking into grad school, and one of the top schools in my field is Boston U, so they may just be my pick.

I will say this, I absolutely love how the B1G Ten conference hockey teams jerseys match the football teams. Absolutely class.

I would argue that the Big Ten is what ruined D1 college hockey in the US.

I did not mean for my statement to be taken that way, I was ragging on the Suckeyes. I have no idea why the turnout is so low, even from students. For a few years now they have been a highly ranked team, and they start out this season as #3 in the nation. I am always disappointed in the atmosphere of the games outside of the Michigan games, and even those can be pretty lame at times with the size of the Schott.

And the new proposed arena will hurt their program. During the conference games OSU averages like 5400 people yet Smith proposed a 4,000 seat arena, that makes no sense to me. But the Schott is a nice arena, but it is way to big for hockey.

You can get 6k in there and it will look "empty".

If BG is in the running for your son then send him there. Hockey is the BIG sport in BG, and the overall hockey family is great and we do our best to take care of the kids. And if he goes there then he will get to know my daughter as she is always hanging out by the locker rooms after the games.

Buckeyes deservedly drop a couple spots after ties at Minnesota.

First, a good hearty eat a dick to rivals for banning me AND unpinning my college hockey thread.

Penn State put a 9-1 shellacking on Notre Dame tonight. Unfortunately they lost last night so it’s still a split in the end.

Awesome! UNH hockey fan here. Last few years disappointing to say the least. Not being able to get your face of the program 600 wins with plenty of opportunities was sad. Believe the new coach might finally be gathering steam. Maybe instead of being a good first half of the season team that fizzles out, we will reverse rolls.

You did get that sweep over Dartmouth this weekend. Next two at home vs Bentley and Merrimack, very winnable games
