First hunt with my daughter this year.

In a shooting house on a big green field. There are 2 cowhorns, 3 does and 4 long beards in field so far.

She shot a big one but we couldn’t find it. I took off tomorrow so I can look. Not really sure she hit him. It got dark so we backed out.

It’s cold so the meat should be fine if the coyotes don’t get him.

That's awesome. Hope you guys find it for her memories. How old is she? (only asking for an ideal of the proper age for a first hunt. I have two young sons hence the question)

She is 15. It was our first hunt this year. She’s been killing deer since she was 9.

I didn’t find the deer. She missed it. First one she has ever missed and it would have been her biggest buck. I think buck fever got the best of her. He was a stud.

I took a college kid this afternoon and he killed his first buck. It was a big one and he was on cloud nine.

Good stuff.

Every kid is different. Get them started on BB guns. Then a 22.

It’s mostly about spending time with them. Don’t pressure them if they aren’t interested.

I’m not an expert but spending time with your kid outdoors is always a good thing.

Agreed, I've been hunting with my dad for 30+ years. My 21 and 15 year old have very little interest in hunting, but we still get out once a year and spend some time in the blind and the rest just being outside BSing with family. Good times

Yep, a nice touch. That deer went around 200lbs according to my son. The other one a little less. Got tenderloin in the fridge for Christmas morning.
