That would surprise me because of the precedent it would set.

I’d think they’d rather spend their fuck you money on lawyers, tying Kaepernick up in court. That’s what I’d do, anyway.

I agree. This is more likely.

as stupid as the NFL seems to be about so many things, i suppose i'm not going to be shocked if the court case does show there was collusion about Kaep ...... on the other hand, i think it's just as likely that Kaep doesn't want to sign anywhere unless he can be a starter and that's not going to happen because he's just not good enough to be that.

The Redskins? He's clearly better than Sanchez. Both suck but Sanchez sucks more.

He wouldn't be their starting QB next season and that may be what he wants

Who would be? He'd certainly have the inside track and an opportunity to show what he can or cannot do.

If ifs and ands were pots and pans.... Selling hardware could be in your future. Wink, wink....

I have not heard anything from the horse's mouth (ass if that's your view) about what he wants, other than to work. Nothing about money. Nothing about status.

Elway tried to trade for him when he was still a 49er. Now Elway talks like it was just yesterday and Kaepernick had his chance. But it was before any of this.

Carroll brought him in and said "he's a starter in this league" or words to that effect. Which may indicate he had a clear starter (the Wee One) and ...........

Ravens kicked tires, silly girlfriend kibosh's things.

Court case filed for collusion.

That's pretty much all I know about the thing. And I pay attention.

This pretty much lays it out for him to get a check from the NFL. It won't be as a player, it will be from winning a lawsuit.

Which really makes him even more of a piece of shit.

Lots of possibilities - probably none of them ideal but possibilities none the less. Alex Smith still could be their QB (flaws & all) if his injury is not career threatening & that is TBD. They are not going to just toss the guy when that will result in tons of dead money. They could also go w/ another journeyman QB or settle on a rookie or unknown. There will be many more of these possibilities in the offseason then there are at this time (again - not ideal but an option).

They also may decide that they just want to just do alright next season with the hope of finding their ultimate QB in the 2020 draft. Who the heck knows - a lot can happened between now & next season & it is foolish to just state that someone like Kaep is their only option for next season.

I don't see how this makes sense for the Redskins? You bring in Sanchez, who hadn't thrown a snap in the NFL since 2016, and then if this doesn't workout, why would you bring in Kaepernick, who hasn't thrown a snap in the NFL since 2016? I would think you would go with someone who has more recent experience. As of right now, the Redskins are 1 game out of first and still have a shot. This is no time for them to become social justice warriors. They need someone who can start now.

I'm not an attorney, but I understand that DEN offered him contract and he didn't sign it. If that's true, it might be even tougher to win that case.

Did u read what u posted? he offered it before all the kneeling started

Elway is talking about the second half of the 2016 season when Kaepernick still had a job and, perhaps even more importantly, hadn’t started his sideline National Anthem protests yet.

Guess what that site just got another hit with its misleading title (me)

Pretty much right but this trade would have occurred offseason before the Chip Kelly season.

Nope...didn't have time...good timing. I've actually heard him talk about this before as well and still didn't realize it was pre-protest.
