Word leaked out last night that the Green Bay Packers either asked Bob Kraft to speak with Josh McDaniels or were given permission by Bob Kraft and did have a preliminary discussion with JM.

Considering how well JM has worked with Tom Brady he might be able to resurrect Aaron Rodgers' recent failings.

How would Packer fans feel about McDaniels taking the helm in the frozen Tundra of the NFL??

I don't understand how anyone thinks McDaniels as their HC is a good idea at this point.

Shouldn't be that hard. NFL is an Offensive League and McDaniels is excellent.

If you're referring to the Colts fiasco, what exactly do you know about what occurred with 100% certainty and accuracy. To this day, no one in the media has been able to get JM or the Colts to sit down and explain exactly what did happen. Neither side will sit down and explain it to us.

You need to preface with, "In my opinion".

Cluster-fuck in Denver.

Takes two to fuck and 'Cluster" infers that there were more.

Too much shit going on in the background in Denver and Elway was creeping around.

Well, why not...DEN? It was bad, but imo, Bowlen screwed the Broncos by giving him far too much power as a young 1st yr HC...like any young kid with money, he abused it.

1st off...yeah we all know he working with the 1 or 2 GOAT at QB and under one of the GOAT, certainly the Greatest of the FA era, HC in BB.

But, he's one of the best game day playcallers, and especially big game playcallers I've seen in a long time. Did he learn anything from his DEN experience? One would think. With a strong GM in place and a good QB...I'd want to know who he planned on hiring for his DC, but assuming I was okay with that hire, yes, I'd give McD another shot.

He is a great playcaller but I wouldn't want him running a struggling team. Failed in Denver, Failed with the Rams.

This can work out for the Packers because I'm not sure they're a team that will struggle in the next couple of years.

After the stunt he pulled last year, though....I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team

Weasel in Denver, weasel in Indy, still a weasel through and through I wouldn't want him as a HC in any capacity, be it as a decisionmaker or as a leader. There are plenty of good offensive minds out there...

Hahaha.

Then Rodgers will start having losing seasons regularly and have to dump Danica Patrick for Kathy Bates or something... (Kathy I'm so sorry I had to drag you into this).

I'm not a NE, or McDaniels fan in any way, but I think you'd be a small boat.

Not so much DEN (today), but I agree with you on IND, not sure why that blew up like it did, but I assume he was not comfortable with Luck's injury status....either way it was piss-poor.

Still his body of work is HC worthy, I think he will and should get another shot, but if he by passes this round of hires it's clear that he expects to take over for BB in NE.

I think Rogers and McDaniels would have trouble getting along long-term

In my honest opinion, I think he will have a difficult time making the transition to a head coach.

McDaniel being the egomaniac he is- being the pseudo coach-in-waiting in NE- is most perfect deserved marriage of all time.
