Same roster that went 12-4 the year before.

And a lot of people on here were saying that season was an aberration....not the norm. Can't have it both ways.

Bottom line they had to make decisions, Mack was a less than desireable one......Coop was a win by most pundits so nobody else was offering a 1st.....kind of shocking the Eagles offered a 2nd. I personally thought a 4th, maybe a 3rd was what we would get with his case of drop-itis.

So, Gruden is batting .500 on trades so far....

This is the same thing Pete Carroll did when he came to the Seahawks. They totally cleaned house and rebuilt from scratch. But, I'd say that Schneider and Carroll are much better at drafting talent, especially late round talent than Gruden ever was.
Difference is they did it in the offseason & kept whoever they thought were better.
Gruden is just starting over starting midseason fire sales. Huge contracts are probably leaving (maybe not QB, but I wouldnt make any bets)
Anyone that has respect of the locker room seems to be going bye bye. he is definitely making it his own team. He wont have to win over anyone. They will all be new.

The Raiders he left were pretty good.

Those Raiders were better than the Bucs that beat them in the SB.

Unfortunately, the Raiders handed Gruden's old job to a dullard who never bother to change the signals/terminology or anything else in the playbook even when faced with meeting the old coach in the SB :L

Gruden somehow got the Raiders' playbook for that game.

He didn't need a copy, he wrote it and Callahan was too stupid to change it.

Lynch stated in an interview some time after the game that Gruden, who rarely worked with the defense, walked Bucs defense through the Raiders first 15 SB plays in the exact order the plays were run.

Doesn't surprise me at all. It certainly looked like Gruden was calling the plays for both teams.

And somehow the Bucs still gave up a 10 play scoring drive on the first possession lol
