Got a weird feeling about this.
Something tells me Cook will be placed on IR soon.
:noidea:

Well that is a weird feeling because he looked great last week:

Vikings claims RB Ameer Abdullah off waiver from the Lions. Roc Thomas was let go in the corresponding move. It took the 2015 second-rounder roughly 24 hours to resurface after being let go by Detroit on Tuesday. Abdullah has appeared in just three games this year, recording 19 yards on three touches during that span. In Minnesota, the former Nebraska Cornhusker will just be a depth piece behind injury-prone starter Dalvin Cook and goal-line vulture Latavius Murray

Saints placed WR Cameron Meredith on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.
Meredith needs a knee scope on the same knee in which he tore his ACL last season. It's an obvious concern.

Think this explains the Dez signing. ....

Nah, he looked really good last week. I'll still hold Murray but his run is done..............might be startable as a GL back during byepocolypse but other than that it's gonna be Cook.

agree, I also think it explains what Dez's role will be - 3rd/4th option AT BEST

You think he will have any effect on T. Smith?
Well, anytime the potential targets get spread around more, there is that possibility, However, I really don't - Smith is the new 'Ginn' deep threat - Dez doesn't have the wheels for that role. ...

The Athletic's Mark Kaboly reports there's a "real possibility" Le'Veon Bell won’t report by the franchise tag deadline.
Bell tweeted Monday he was leaving his training spot in Miami. There were rumblings he planned to sign his franchise tag this week, but there's a chance he sits out all season. Bell counts as a third-year franchise player in 2019 even if he doesn't sign, so his $25 million tag number will prevent the Steelers from franchising him again in the offseason. Bell will forfeit his remaining $6.84 million salary if he doesn't report before next week.

Lefty nailed it, imo

TreQ will always be the boom/bust role - Devery Henderson, Kenny Stills, Ted Ginn (and I'm sure I'm forgetting 2-3 more) always had some magical weeks, surrounded by complete duds, and that's Smith's role

anyone banking on Dez this year I think is wishing and hoping, not basing it off of his current talent level - not saying it can't happen, I'm just not on board

Bell counts as a third-year franchise player even if he doesn’t sign? I’d like you see where in the CBA they got that from.

he needs to fire his agent:suds:

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Steelers would consider placing the transition tag on Le'Veon Bell in 2019.
The Steelers have no idea when or if Bell will arrive, though he'll need to report by November 13 in order to play this season. If Bell decides to punt 2018, the Steelers could assign him the transition tag next year, which would be far less expensive than franchise-tagging him for a third straight season. Under the transition tag, the Steelers would be able to match any offer Bell receives elsewhere. Per La Canfora, his projected salary under the transition tag could be as low as $9 million, which is far below the $14.5 million Bell passed up in 2018. The 26-year-old and his agent have played this extremely poorly.

3rd tag is 144% of the previous season or an average of the to 5 RB whatever is higher. Since Bell didn't sign it would be the average of the top 5 RB. If he had signed his tag at the start of the season his 3rd tag would be worth 20.88 million.

So apparently in practice today Dez Bryant tore his achilles tendon and is out for the year. It's possible it could be a career ending injury. So everybody that used a waiver claim or picked him up or held on to him in dynasty was able to be excited for three days. LOL.

I picked him up in a few leagues. Didn't use a waiver claim but spent some of my waiver fund.:gaah:

Shit the leader in the Way Too Long League spent his last $70 of BB money on him. Honestly in that league it would have been worth having a big RZ WR on a sue fire playoff team fer the playoffs.........now he has no more money.
