Meyer to OSU rumors continue to spread but still nothing confirmed

Tulane has told Rich Rod they need an answer this weekend or they will move on with a new candidate.

Rich Rod is apparently expected to accept with an announcement next week along with an announcement for an on-campus stadium.

I'll wait on both these rumors before putting them in the new coaches list

Rich Rod declined to let them know, as it turned out it was because he went to Arizona

the UMass job might be open, their coach met with the AD today

UMass technically goes on this list because they will be 1-A next year

UMass has indeed let their coach along with the rest of the staff go

Dammit, I came here to say that. lol

BTW, I noticed that ESPN still doesn't know that Dennis Erickson is stepping down at the end of the year, I'm going to make a thread about it on the general discussion board

Akron will be releasing their coach following their game on Friday

they were an absolute disaster in the two years with him so I'm not surprised

interestingly all the coaching jobs have been taken by someone that was out of coaching the previous year so far

that might change, Tulane is looking at Oklahoma State's offensive coordinator

FootballScoop - The Scoop

Tulane had their guy but it fell apart due to timing of the coaches season

if I had to make a guess it would probably be Oklahoma State's offensive coordinator

they probably wanted him right away but he wants/needs to finish out the season with Oklahoma State because they're in contention for the championship

apparently Mike Stoops was offered the Florida Atlantic job, but is locked in to be defensive coordinator for Urban(I'm assuming Meyer)

a large amount of firings en sech

including those above and Illinois fired Zook, Kansas fired Gill

some of these are crazy

Wulff was doing a great job with what he had at Washington State, he was improving that team too

now they will likely start over again, maybe the Pac-12 should just replace them with Boise State, it's clear they don't know how to run a program

Gill getting fired at Kansas is also crazy, the Mangino firing really left the team with no talent on the roster, give Gill a year or two and he'd have them competitive again, hope Buffalo takes him back.
