Ok so at this point James Conner is pacing for 1100 yards rushing , 770 receiving and 14 touchdowns

Add this to what DeAngelo Williams did in Bells stead a few years ago and it begs the question

Is Leveon Bell even elite?

The sample size for his replacements putting up pretty much the same numbers as him is quite large. Would you pay Bell as elite ( as he wants ) or even as very good?

I wouldn't .

What says the board ?

I won't pretend to know what I am talking about. But I would love for him not to get what he wants. Play the year, hit free agency. Or get tagged again. Then hit free agency. His right to fight. His right to believe in himself. But I think it would be awesome to not do anything and when he comes back, keep playing Conner.

But the Steelers are not my team. I am not Bell. Nor am I a fan of his alma mater (don't know where he went). So for any option but rewarding him not showing up is fine by me. Or if it's the team's fault, not helping them.

Yes, it's an ehh who cares for me. I know there are reasons to not show up; I know teams have more leverage and players can only do this to fight it. But ehh, don't care, play or don't play.

Leverage only works if by not showing up you prove your value . The opposite has happened . He's simply proven ( once again ) that any adequate back will put up the same numbers as him in Pitt

The sad truth is... NFL running backs are like condoms.
  • You use them to pound holes.
  • They have a short usage life.
  • Once they're used, you throw them away and get a new one.
  • It doesn't matter how much you spend on them, you're gonna get pretty much the same results.

I suppose if most GMs were concerned with fantasy football, you might have an argument. But most of them are concerned with wins and losses.

Dude Pitt is underachievong because of their defense. So unless you think Bell was going to play D this year your comment is straight retarded ( per usual ).

Of course Bell is elite, not sure why this is even a question. But is he worth what he is asking? Not a chance.

Teams that are still in need of a RB will end up paying for him. Teams like the Lions, Jets, Packers, Eagles and Colts. But, if they are able to get a top RB from the draft, there's no need for them to overpay for a RB like Bell if they can get one for cheap in the draft. However, 2019 isn't very RB heavy. Last I checked, there were only 2 RBs projected in the first round

I ask because his replacements have provided basically the same production as him. You may very well be right but there's definitely reason to think he's just a system back who has been extremely fortunate to play with a lot of talent around him

You're retarded (per usual) if you think fantasy stats determine a player's worth.

I hope the 'superbowl contending' Falcons break the bank for him.

Lol yes stats are irrelevant . QBs who throw more picks than TDs won super bowls , guys who average 2 ypc can be great backs and receivers with 22 catches for 115 yards may be the best in the league . You're an idiot

It's very simple.

GMs get paid money to do their job. If they have success at their job, they get to continue doing their job, for pay.

So, someone will pay Bell, a lot. Because they are going to try and maintain their employment status, by winning. Hope that clears it all up for you.

I know.

2017 with Bell: 13-3
2018 without Bell: 2-2-1

Yeah. Conner is a real beast. I'll bet DCs all over the league game plan for him. :rolleyes2:

He's not helping himself longterm with this though.

But let's not pretend Cancer Boy is Bell, he isn't. At anything football related.

Tunnel vision much?
