Doesn’t DB still owe him for sweet chin music?

I don't see him facing AJ, although that would be a good match to see. I haven't read this anywhere but I think it'd be great for WWE to keep the title on AJ til Wrestlemania and I don't see HBK being a title contender. Bray doesn't make sense, especially if the rumors are true that he's coming back as a babyface. I think the best two matchups to see him in would be against Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler. I think it'd be interesting to see HBK and DZ because DZ seems to have a similar wrestling style to HBK and DZ was one of the first ones that are still around to adopt the superkick as a finisher/main move in his arsenal. Not to mention, DZ seems to have the same cockiness as HBK did in his prime.

But isn’t Dolph the exact opposite of HBK, Dolph has made a career of being great in the ring to put other guys over, while HBK was great in the ring but kept guys from getting over? My vote still is DB. DB isn’t going to be in the title picture and they’ve wasted his and Miz’s WM storyline so he is going to need someone to fight there.

I can see it now, HBK “I’ve got two words for you, suck it” DB can say well I’ve got three words for you, yes, yes, yes”

Right now my vote is "To be determined". I want to see what he's like a Crown Jewel first. He looks old as hell (because he is) so if he's really limited and barely can go, I'd actually prefer to not see him in any other dream matches. I'd rather just keep all those memories of when he could go rather than add in a bunch of well past his prime stuff. For example, Ric Flair in TNA. That was just damn sad.

I voted the last one, but I would’ve voted that for the first comeback as well.

Never liked him or his overrated in ring character

I've just personally never been a DB fan. I don't enjoy watching him in the ring, aside from a few matches here and there. He a smaller and faster version of John Cena in my opinion.

But that's probably what the match is gonna be. Dolph, to me, is a great worker and would be a great matchup against HBK. Yeah, Dolph and HBK's careers were made differently but I don't think this match would be about putting Dolph over or what not. It seems like they are teasing the Dolph/McIntyre and Strowman stable to break up, and the whole Dolph/McIntyre connection is similar to the connection with HBK/Diesel and HBK/Sid. IDK, I think it's the most interesting matchup that I can think of. Looking at the roster, the only thing I could think of them doing as well would be Randy Orton, as he's on this kick of destroying all of the fans' heroes and HBK coming back would make him into a fan hero. But I still think that's a far fetched idea.

Ruining an excellent last match vs Taker at WM.

Whatever it is, please for the love of GOD do not make it a consistent return of DX...First off, that DX stuff should have stopped in around 2001ish, and gone down into the WWE history books as a great faction. The fact that DX is still around pulling the same stunts as they did in the mid 90's when HBK and HHH were in their 20's is absolutely ridiculous. Two 50 year olds making fart jokes is super dumb. I bring this up because I saw during that Super Downunder Show of HHH/Taker there was DX reunion. I just hope that is it and no more if HBK does indeed come back.

But I hope he stays retired and doesn't return as it will put a damper on a great great storyline with he and Taker at WM.

But he's not talking about what's going behind the scenes...we all know HBK was a world-class douche, but from a wrestling skills/style and persona, Ziggler's pretty similar (although an inferior version) to HBK.

I wasnt talking about in ring ability, just in general of the way they were treated, storylines etc. Ziggler is finally in a storyline that has meaning and would seem like a major demotion to just lose to HBK this returning it back to the different how the two guys were treated.

I think putting him in a big singles match would be good for him even if he loses, considering that for WM, most superstars are lost in the shuffle and thrown into tag matches or the Andre battle royal or a 6 man ladder match etc. But to have a singles match at WM is a big deal imo, and there would be a big buildup to it whereas most of those non-singles matches wouldn't.

Of the 14 matches at WM34 for instance, only 6 of them were 1-on-1.

True, but I don’t see a build up that Ziggler could pull off that would bring any excitement. A year ago when he turned heel, sure. But if he is going to come back for a match it needs to be a dream match. No offense to Dolph but I don’t think anyone has ever said a dream match is HBK vs Dolph. I’ve already my choice because AJ should be in the title picture and DB shouldn’t. To me, there are 3 choices, HHH, DB or Taker. I mean the world would go bat shit crazy if Punk came back for a one off but can’t see that happening even if he was offered a million for the match.

DB needs to turn heel anyways to beat Miz and now that Brie is a heel. Miz can be Piper where his mic skills alone can entertain without him stepping foot in the ring or and him versus Elias has to eventually happen anyways at WM.
