Isn't it about time Northwestern considers firing Pat Fitzgerald?

Yeah yeah... "it's Northwestern, what more do you expect?"... we've heard all the excuses for a long time now... fact is, this is guy is just a very average coach. Yet he's one of the top paid in the Big 10... why?

Maybe "firing" is too harsh of a term here, but these two parties just really need to break up already... you know, go their own ways and try different things. This is his 13th year and the team is horrible, especially their defense. They should've lost to Purdue in Week 1 and have been dominated since. They'll only win 2 or 3 more games this season since they still have Nebraska, Rutgers, and Illinois on their schedule, but they'll probably figure out a way to lose one of those too.

Fitzgerald and Northwestern are like that super boring couple you and your wife know, but never want to hang out with. They think they have this cool little "smart and fun" vibe about them, but in reality... they're just... well... painfully boring.

Fitzgerald is perfect for N’Western. Legendary alumni football player and wins just enough for the school. Plus you have to remember, his players have to actually know how to read, write and go to class. That alone right there makes it impossible to win on a consistent basis. That reason alone is why I believe David Shaw at Stanfordbis the best coach in the country.
