@awaz.. Are you far enough inland that you don't have to evacuate for this monster hitting the NC coast early Friday? Be safe. I'm flying into Norfolk in 2 weeks and renting a car to Nags Head. I get the feeling that instead of pleasure, I may be doing a major cleanup at the beach house. It looks like this storm is going to be a direct hit on the NC coast etc.

Hey mall, thanks for asking. I think we're going to be OK. I'm a little north of Raleigh which seems to be the line for major rainfall (8+ inches) and TS force winds. We're riding it out, I think we'll be ok.

Good luck with the beach house! I think the turn south over the last 24-36 hours might have Nags Head spared a little bit.

I tried calling my buddy today who works for the Portsmouth PD in Va. to check the status in his area. Have not heard back, but I'd imagine he is probably busy getting that area under safe conditions. Nags Head is getting hit as we speak. Still it's only the early stages of what will probably be much worse after later tonight into tomorrow morning. There is a chance we may not even be able to get out to our place.

Crazy stuff the sharks are putting together a decent lineup...

My bigger concern is the Avs. They're already pretty good, if they win the draft lottery with Ottawa's pick and get Jack Hughes, we're going to have a problem on our hands. Hughes is being hyped bigger than anyone other than McDavid over the past few years.

Ottawa is insane. Get rid of 2 of your 3 best players for a bunch of picks/prospects that project to be 3rd line guys. And you already gave up your potential 1st overall pick in 2019 to draft Brady Tkachuk? I feel terrible for Ottawa fans, the guys in charge there have no idea what they're doing. If you're going to lose Karlsson and Hoffman, why on earth didnt you keep that pick!? They're going to be extremely bad this year and the future doesn't look very good either.

Center Nolan Patrick is skating freely and looking wayyyy more advanced than at this time last year, when he was recovering from abdominal surgery. #Flyers expect big things from Patrick, who turns 20 Wednesday.

Excitement!
At camp, Nolan Patrick is centering JVR and Jake Voracek in what likely will be the #Flyers’ second line this season.

I do too, that kid is really going to shine this coming season, Provorov as well. They might end up being two of our three or four best players, even this season.

That could be a pretty dynamite second line too. A lot of size, strength, speed and skill. Should be difficult to stop in the offensive zone.

And when a healthy Wayne Simmonds is probably on your third line, you've got forward depth too.

Any word on the health of Sean Couturier!? As nice as it is to have the veteran presence of MacD, we have a lot of guys ready to jump into his spot, but not so many with Coots.

Yeah they've been drafting centers but still young... I have no idea how he's doing.

Looks like Coots is in camp, but wearing a knee brace and not going 100%. He may play in the last two preseason games and then if all goes well, be good to start the season.

Definitely take the time to get this guy 100% healthy. He is an absolute horse (with a high stud fee) down the middle and we need him when it matters, not necessarily game one.

I think we can legitimately have two first lines and a second line with our top nine forwards 100% healthy and running on all cylinders. Not many teams have that kind of forward depth and firepower offensively.
