Broncos center Matt Paradis was the top graded player at the position this week.

2:47 PM - Sep 12, 2018

Elway needs to break out the Checkbook and pay the man he is playing lights out! It is long overdue!

Broncos are wanting to re-sign him for sure. Just a matter of trying to find a number both can agree on. I think most of this next offseason will be the Broncos trying to bring back their own guys. They are also talking to Roby and Shaq Barrett.

Well, usually this is the time that they sign people like Matt ...

Harris

Wolf

That way they still get the same pay but get a huge bonus. That huge bonus will be more than he made so fare my guess. I would imagine he will buy a ranch in Colorado but I do know he works on his dad's ranch in Idaho during the offseason .

Screw PFF
They had Von miller rated the 3rd best OLber this week behind some rookie from Cleveland.
Their work is flawed
No way you can grade a game 30 minutes after

Well, whatever Paradise could be 5th this week and I would be fine with 5 years add on to his contract.

It is said to be Paradis is as healthy as he has been since being drafted.

His hips were both in pain. He played and did not practice. The reason was these surgeries work and no pain or you get a hip replacement so when he went under the knife it was that or retirement...As with all players, the NFL was a dream of his so he played hurt as long as he could stand it .

I would say after rewatching the game Paradis did good but not great. He is the one that gave up the one sack of the game. He also missed on a couple of opportunities to get to the second level in the run game.

As for PFF yeah I agree there is no way they should be able to put out these kind of grades this quickly. From what I understand they have 2-4 people work every game. They are given say the Broncos' offense while the other is given the defense of the Seahawks. The idea that somebody can watch all 11 players and get a good idea of how they did is ridiculous. I just did an article on Jared Veldheer and it took me watching the game 3 times to get a very good idea of what he was being asked to do and how well or bad he was accomplishing that goal. That was just one player.

They probably have a simplistic metric for a game. Penalties, sacks allowed, missed blocks, etc. I doubt they can look at technique, scheme or any details.

I'm sure they do. Still even with that I'm not sure you can watch every player and have a good idea of what happened. Throw in with not having the Coaches view of the game how can they evaluate Secondary and pass catching options that disappear off the screen? There are things that PFF does that I really appreciate but the game scores they come up with is not one of them.

Matt Paradis is a wonderful player - obviously doesn't get the credit he deserves. 4 more like him and you have the best Oline in the league.

I will say though as much as I do like Paradis I would rather lock up Veldheer if it becomes an either/or situation. RT has greater value than Center and much easier to find a starting caliber Center in the draft than it is a Right Tackle.
