So Seattle is signing the NFL's version of Martha Stewart?

Can't be any worse than we were at OLB last Sunday... He'll start immediately... Show's just how bad Griffin was last weekend...

Just a body to fill until KJ can get back at full health. He might play like a crazed man knowing this could be his last time suiting up for a football team.

A rookie tasked to replace KJ Wright in week 1, are you serious? :L

Tasked but couldn't hold the spot... Which is why this guy was signed... There have been plenty of rookies that hold their spots... Rookies will struggle but Griffin was that bad... Can't afford to have a game like that last week at this position...

he was a 5th round rookie not some 1st or 2nd rounder. He has some learning to do and he will learn. He didn't just drop into the 5th because he was missing a hand he also dropped because he was raw.

KJ's first year wasn't all that great also. He was a 4th rounder and now is part of the best LB pair in the league with him and Bobby. Thing about KJ is he had a knack for being in the right place at the right time. But he wasn't always like that.

Punter in 5th round etc....this team is getting hard to root for.

So moving up at the cost of a 7th rounder for an All-Pro punter is bad?
My goodness, Dickson kept Seattle in the game with his leg.
IMO. moving up to draft Dickson was a GREAT move.

Go Hawks.

I refuse to get excited about a punter. I wanted Crosby from the Ducks who can play tackle or guard. If this was a few years back and we had great depth, yes, draft a punter. We need depth, not a feel good story at linebacker and a punter who i could really give a crap about. (Pro tip....if we move ball,we dont need a punter)

I've come to the conclusion that we have Seahawk fans that put WAY to much in a week 1 game to make their judgements.

It was a rough game and they had every chance to win it and didn't. Had this one been in Seattle i would have been much more worried. Only thing i am worried about is the health of players and are FG Kicker. Both are shaky at best.

I wasn't thrilled with Janikowski. He's known for the monster leg but he's accuracy has never been tremendous. Is what it is, though... I don't want to blame him too much last week since it was a 51 and subsequent 46 yarder... but it's mile high in warm weather, so...

Anyway, as for Dickson - yes please. Seattle is going to be doing a lot of punting this year. We need a good one.

Agree with everything you just said... He wasn't ready to start... Would you agree? That's all I am saying, which is why something different needed to happen this week...

Well, that's all football fans for all teams.

That being said, I actually thought it was one of the best week 1 road games we've seen from the Hawks in recent years. I wish we could follow it up at home this week, but if we can steal this win against the Chicago Mack's it'll set up good momentum for the home opener.

It was the 2nd most points we scored in a road opener in the PC era. And that was with a couple turnovers, a missed FG, an OPI that wiped away a TD, and a 40+ yard play taken back by an inconsequential hold.
