As I said at the end of last game thread - many things to clean up before this game.

As well , lots of positives to build on - far more than we have seen in a while. BUT CANT neglect the issues if they want sustained success.

Either the Jets are super bowl bound or the lions are that bad. Patricia embarrassed...

Apparently Darren Lee just boasted that the Jets had the Lions signals either way they were atrocious. I just beg the Fins to make sure they change up theirs next weekend!!!

If the Fins don't bring their A game on Sunday they will be blown out. The Jets defense is for real & they finally have a potentially elite QB. The Jets are a team on the rise.

I think the days of the AFC East being a cake walk for the Pats are over.

The Bills look to be the only true bottom dweller in the division.

First of all, FUCK the JETS always.

But, none of what I am about to say is an attempt to underestimate them - just trying to keep perspective after just ONE WEEK of the season.

Their defense is no doubt very good - from the players to the coaches.

That being said, it was the LIONS.

As for Darnold, again - it was one game.

The Fins simply have to prepare appropriately and anything can happen. Whatever does happen, it will be decided on sunday on the field - nothing has been decided yet or will be til then.

I'm not so sure as their D lost some players but they are definitely well coached. They also had the lions plays somehow so they looked like the pats on D....although a little better as they have more talent than the pats D. Were they cheating too who knows but they fully admitted that they had their signals. The lions D was also horrible they couldn't stop anything I believe that the Fins D will be a lot tougher.

I think the Fins can beat the Jets but it wont be easy. I remember last year when the Fins played in NY. The Jets were much more physical. The Fins Oline & Dline will have to play well.
The Fins beat the Jets in Hard Rock Stadium in the second game.

The Fins need an early winning streak this year. It's likey that the Pats will lose to the Jags.

The Jets vs Fins game will probably give the winner sole possession of 1st place in the AFC East. It's early but that would be a good way to start the season.

Sitton done for the year.
Yeah sucks but at least they have some veteran back ups Larsen should be fine. In the past they didn't have much experience or talent coming off the bench.

I'm having a hard time picking this game. Lots of positives and not-so-positives for both teams. The Lions aren't as bad as they played and the Jets aren't as good as they looked. They will again run the rock. How strong is your defense against the run?

Last year horrible but the run D seems to be improving. It's likely going to be a coin flip unless their rookie QB comes down to earth. Fins passrush needs to be better this week. The O should be decent and Parker may be back although they were fine without him it adds another target.

Parker inactive but I'm not too concerned the other WR'S can get it done. Need to pressure darnold and not let him roll out to his right.

Dolphins inactives: David Fales, Luke Falk, DeVante Parker, Cordrea Tankersley, Kalen Ballage, Zach Sterup

This has happen a lot under Gase -- Healthy scratches after a particular player has practice/improved from an injury during a particular game-week only to be inactive on game-day -- Asiata last season, this time, Parker. Injury woes and underwhelming performances aside, he has potential still, and if we could use him on the field when he is healthy, why not? I would go as far as to say Tankersley is another victim of the same.

Anyhow, others will have to step up. Lets hope for no weather delays.

Jets win toss and elect to differ - so we go on offense first

After a nice run from Tannehill - 2 weak run calls. I like the idea of featuring Drake early -- it needs to happen. But he is not a between the tackles runner as he was asked to do on that drive. He is the perimeter guy and Gore is the between the tackles guy. I hope this issue doesn't last as long as in previous season for Gase -- he has to have a better idea of when and how to use his RBs.

Lets see how the Dolphins defense handles Darnold

Another bad first play call - it was a one WR play and everyone else blocking but it still made the play to predictable and the Jets bring the house and almost cause a turnover. Fins need to do a better job of calling smarter plays -- too early to want to go for it all.

A sack - Tannehill banged up -- and 3-and-out we go

T.J. McDonald with a much needed takeaway and then keeps running to give the Fins offense a short field to start the next drive -- lets see if the offense wants to get going now
