Decker turned in #86 and is now wearing #81. Not that it matters......

In my opinion, Patriots will keep 7 WR, 2 will primarily play special teams (Slater, Patterson).

Braxton Berrios- will make the team

Eric Decker - will make the team

Phillip Dorsett - will make the team

Julian Edelman - will make the team and Will start game 5?????

Chris Hogan - will make the team

Cordarrelle Patterson - will make the team

Matthew Slater - will make the team

Kenny Britt - will make the team, will be waived when Edelman returns Week 5

Devin Lucien - will make the practice team

Riley McCarron - will make the practice team

Paul Turner - will make the practice team

Malcolm Mitchell - will make the PUP team and will not play this year.

I am unsure the MM status to be honest but if he is Tango Uniform again I can't see him earning any roster spot, PUP or anything else. If he is truly this broken he may want to start applying for local librarian positions.

If not I think he makes this team, and I suspect the Pats may be keeping this on the down low for a reason.

Agreed for the most part. Lucien on the PT for sure. Not all the others most likely.

Malcolm Mitchell is gone. He has cleared waivers. Nobody wants him.
He will be able to collect on his insurance policy now. I hope it's a good one.....

Decker is practicing dropped balls. His ticket is waiting.
Patterson is making plays but is not returning kicks. He looks like a good pick-up

That's kind of too bad in a way. What happened to him? He used to abuse NE.

Sometimes 32 is over the hill for a player. For others, they're just reaching their prime.

For wide receivers. it's generally speed that they lose and just can't run with the kids. Decker seems to be having 'hands' problems. His routes are good. Separation seems to be an issue across the board. I can't tell if it's because Josh is tweaking the routes or these guys are learning that they can't just cruise with Brady at the helm.

Patterson is starting enjoy playing professional football. He doesn't have any problem with contact and appears to actually like delivering a little bit of it. This was a major problem with Cooks. He hated being hit and would go down before anyone could lay a pad into him. He also was afraid to stretch out and dive for a ball because he didn't like the hard contact with artificial surfaces. Patterson also appears to be "Getting it".

I was never all that impressed with Decker, if our train of thought was to sign a WR that can drop random balls I would have preferred Dez who still has some big play ability.

I'm willing to give Decker a couple more weeks. He was and maybe still has big play ability. His style of play fits right in with NEs and what they want/need receivers to do.
I don't think TB12 has the big arm any longer. He doesn't need a Bryant just to spread the field.

Just my opinion but the tight ends and running backs are going to have a significantly larger role this year in the offense. Once J11 returns the other receivers(whoever is on the team) will play better. And let's not forget about the potential of Patterson.

My opinion is this offense is going to take a little time to mesh but once it gets going it's going to be incredibly fun to watch.

Britt has a real issue with that hamstring. There are some people that believe the muscle is separated from the bone. Others believe it is severed. Others have said that it is most serious fiber tear they've ever heard about. No matter what the problem is, he cannot even trot, let alone run. He's been on the conditioning field since camp started and he has never been seen actually doing any running at all. He does have a noticable limp.

There just comes a time to cut bait or fish.

CBS Sports is reporting that Dez Bryant has been in contact with the Patriots and is considering coming to Foxboro for a serious workout. I have no idea what that means. Either he's interested in playing here or he's not. The Pats are not going to offer him a contract without seeing whether or not he can play at the level they will need him play. What's to consider? What the hell is a "serious workout"? Is there such a thing as a comedic workout or a not so serious workout?

What did I miss??

Albert Breer says that a Patriots management person told him that it does not appear that the Patriots will consider signing Dez Bryant. No one said it, bit appears that Dez is carrying way too much baggage and no one, not even the Browns are ready to deal with that amount of shit.

There is talk that the Patriots are looking at few players. No names have been given and it may be pure speculation.

Article this morning says that right now, Hogan, Dorsett, Patterson appear to be locks. Edelman will be back for sure Week 5. Berrios and Decker could stay and the Pats might keep six WR and have Matthew Slater as a seventh if absolutely necessary. No question that the patriots may pounce when cuts are made by every team to get to the dreaded 53.

This makes sense to me. Although Im not sure Berrios has shown anything at all, but then again there is Dorsett to back the train of thought that you needn't be productive just catch a pass when no one thinks you are an option.
