Hart and Neidhart were a great tag team duo.

I imagine Hart is having a rough day.....

I read he fell and hit his head and never recovered.

That was TMZ though so ....
According to a report by PWInsider.com:
"According to TMZ, Jim Neidhart's wife Elizabeth told investigators that Jim was having problems sleeping and got our out of bed to adjust the theromostat.

Ellie then said that as Neidhart went to touch it, he turned "weirdly" as if he was "about to dance", then fell into the wall and ground. Ellie immediately dialed 911, believing he was having a seizure, something he was taking medication for.

Neidhart had four-inch gash on his face when EMTs arrived.

Pasco County police have already stated they do not believe there was any foul play involved. There was medication in Neidhart's home, but according to the TMZ.com report, it did not appear to have been abused."

I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like he suffered either a seizure, stroke or heat-attack or possibly some combination of the 3.

If he hit his head, then the following seizure most likely gave him a stroke since his brain was without oxygen for so long.

A hit on the head could cause internal bleeding in the brain can cause pressure on integral parts. This can have all sorts of of outcomes including seizures and strokes.

My father fell and hit his head. It caused his left side to completely shut down (Not a stroke) until they relieved the pressure by drilling small holes into the brainpan.

My point is that when you damage the brain any reaction is possible. If Jim hit his head it could have caused any number of reactions. I have no doubt that it killed him.

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE has issued a statement on the passing of "Dirty" Dick Slater.

"WWE is saddened to learn that Dick Slater has passed away at age 67.

Slater was a prolific competitor during the 1970s and 1980s in Georgia Championship Wrestling, Mid-South Wrestling and Mid-Atlantic Wrestling, where he teamed with WWE Hall of Famer Bob Orton and had a memorable rivalry with WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Slater competed in WWE from 1986 to 1987 before moving to Japan and finishing his in-ring career in WCW.

WWE extends its condolences to Slater’s family, friends and fans."

I also remember when he went by The 'Unpredictable' Dick Slater.

RIP!!!

Stiffness and pranks. Led to a fight with Jacques Rogeau and him getting fired

I wouldn't say he was one of the most controversial, but he was one of the toughest to work with, for sure.

I didn’t know anything about him besides a few matches and Mick Foley talking about Dynamite Kid broke his jaw in a jobber match.

Bret Hart's autobiography (which is a great read btw) spends a lot of time on Dynamite Kid in his early wrestling years, since they wrestled together and in Canada and Japan and became brother-in-laws. From a wrestling standpoint, he'd be very violent in the ring with newcomers and people he wasn't too fond of (was the type of guy who had no qualm about intentionally breaking someone's jaw in the ring to where they couldn't work and get paid, etc).

Outside of the ring, there's stories of him threatening his wife with his gun, and he even broke his friend's kid's legs when they determined that the kid's injuries weren't severe enough to get a big settlement after a car accident.
