All are invited to join. I do mean all even @PhoenixEagles1

It's all in fun.

Against the spread.

One change from last season is no game will be dropped. In the past I dropped the worst week because I and a few other senile old guys tend to forget.

I know many of you HATE ESPN, but the pickem is very easy there, and we don't have to wait for each week to be updated.

Why not just participate in the SportsHoopla Spread Pick'em?

@Vitamike, you probably know this, but just in case you don't, you can run both straight and spread NFL pick'ems on the XenForo platform with just the 1 schedule and 1 set of results. So if you're running 1 type of Pick'em it costs you nothing to add the other type. All you have to do is create a 2nd pool, (which takes 60 seconds). On another site i've got 3 different types of Pick'em all using the same schedule and results.

Why not just participate in the SportsHoopla Spread Pick'em?
Mainly because we have to wait for a person to update the picks, and open the following week.

If there is no wait time, I'm fine with closing this one down.

What do you consider wait time? Usually these are up fairly quickly after the lines are available. (We use www.vegasinsder.com)

@SUBuddha, just thought I would bring you in here. Did you see what Fastforward had to say? Interesting, right?

I remember a couple of times there was concern, you wouldn't get the next week ready.

I've ran the ESPN pickem gir years on the Dallas board, and since I don't have to set the week, there was never a delay.

I'm amazed at the effort you put in to set up the pick em, I personally don't have the time, not energy to do so.

You sure you want me back. I was better then/than Handicappers could ever be. I remember 3 years of 1st place, 2nd place, 1st place. All I need now it to be a genius, drop out of med school, be better athlete then Saquon Barkley and better golfer then Tiger Woods, buy my Dad a Bentley and buy a mansion with a hot maid that bones.

I said you were welcome to join last year.
Just remember if you want to talk shit, be prepared to receive shit.

I also may close this or move it to the NFCE boards if the hoop regulars prefer not to use ESPN.

We use ESPN at my job, so its easier as a one stop shop for me.

Talking shit is fine. That’s all I know actually from your league cause I was like the Michael Jordan of it. I honestly just forgot to sign up recently. Who won it last year?

Fair point. The ESPN PIck'em does have advantages. Results are updated within 15 minutes or games ending, (although this isn't necessary). It also has an automatic saving mechanism which resaves after every pick is made or changed. ESPN also allows you to make picks weeks in advance. XenForo posts warnings about having more than 1 week open. (It doesn't screw up the game but in 2017 testing it resulted in the natural order for NFL Weeks getting moved around. The XenForo Pick'em system is also a bit unwieldy, especially if you're in more than 1 Pick'em. However, Running your own Pick'em allows you to effectively set your own rules or decide your own Spread lines, so if you want to exclude Thursdays, as I do, then you can. Also you can run weekly vcash competitions here and you can run a vcash pool in the Sportsbook, (Sportsbook boss permitting).

Ask @handicappers to play. He would never ever ever sign up and we all know why!
I look forward to watching him dominate the Spread board. Obviously he can't be expected to pick over 70% of winners if he has to pick ALL the games, but clearly his superior knowledge and betting prowess will see him score well over the 52.38% needed to break even with the bookies -110 lines.

Since you have a record of 3 consecutive top 2 finishes I will be expecting you you to push him for the lead. No doubt a 52.38% record is the floor of your expectation range.

@Vitamike let me know what you want to do, I prefer the spread personally, but we can run either. In the past we had scores posted by Monday night and the next week open on Tuesday/Wednesday depending on the spread movement.

Maybe a SU pickem with no extra effort on the XenForo side would be interesting. I'll talk to you more about it on the PM thread.
